Only the preliminary work is going forward with DCAs Tower right now while the Company bickers about the fixes for California Adventure it's okay to go slow (Burbank) vs. shes sinking fast! (Anaheim). The plans at the moment is for a scaled-down Tower to open in Summer 2003. The cuts include the exterior gardens and queue, the Biltamore style hotel lobby, and all lateral movement of the cars. There will still be a library pre-show (which may not have the Twilight Zone theme) then enter the machinery room and board the elevator. In place of the 5th Dimension room, where the Florida version moves you from one shaft to the other, in California the doors will simply open to reveal show effects. Theres also a good chance that the exterior doors will be cut, so that the entire drop will be enclosed. And the Tower itself will loose between 25 and 75 feet in height.
