We'll be inWDW this month. Probably will be too cold for the water parsk, but DD just watched the planning video, so if we have a really warm day I think she's want to go. Now I am trying to decide what we'd need to pack for water parks (aside from the obvious bathing suits). All I can think of are water shoes and towels. Do they have towels availble at the water parks for your use? Is there a charge?

Anything else you can think of to bring for water parks?

Yes, towels are available and yes there is a charge to rent them. They also sell Disney character towels. The water is heated. We've gone many times in Jan and Feb. If you check the hourly weather forcasts at weather.com for Orlando, that will give you an idea of which hours are typically the warmest during the day. The last few days, it really started to cool off between 4pm and 6pm. However, the afternoons were quite warm!

Thanks.

Since they charge for the towels, I'll bring a few of ours from home if I can squeeze them in the luggage!

I was at BB today with my kids. The park closes at 5. But the afternoons are often warm enough. Today was around 77. Towels can be bought in the store there or just rented for a couple of dollars. (forgive me on the renting price if I am wrong we always bring our own). Currently BB is only open at Tl is being redone this winter.

Just a suggestion...we always bring our old and very used beach towels for a couple of reasons. The rental towels are all white and if someone takes yours, they are not replaced for free. Secondly, it makes it easier to spot our chairs with our colorful towels. And lastly, we bring our old ones because they don't take up as much space as the newer fluffy ones and if they should get taken, we won't be upset. I have heard of people buying the character beach towels and getting them stolen...at $20 a pop, that's a risk I don't want to take.

You may not consider buying a BB towel before your water park day, but I highly recommend buying one on the way out. We bought a Typhoon Lagoon one years ago and it is still in terrific shape. They are excellent quality, a great buy and reminder of your day there. You will LOVE BB!!! It is so much fun, especially the family raft ride (Teamboat Springs). You'll laugh the entire way down, what a blast. Have a ball! :D

Oh, and whatever you do, remember your sunscreen for the water parks. Oh, the burn if you don't.

hahaha...yes...sunscreen is a must! And make sure you re-aply regularly!

Last year I went with my boyfriend and after a day at Blizzard Beach he was a certified WDW sun baked LOBSTER! :cutie:
