Are there any secrets to getting towel animals in your stateroom. The last time I sailed (Wonder 10/99) We had no towel animals in our room. We also had no kids with us. This time we will have the kids with us and my DD would love them. Is there anyway I can encourage the being placed in our stateroom?

I would say that the vast majority of Stateroom attendants will provide you with the joyous towel animals each night. On each of my previous cruises this has been the case.

I have noticed that many attendants do tend to skip the towel animals the first evening. I believe this is probably because it is a much longer day for them with the added duties of totally stripping down all of their staterooms, luggage, etc.

Don't know. We've been on 5 cruises. Each time our room steward left towel animals almost every night. Some just okay, some very good.

We had towel animals every night with little chocolates and we were 3 adults, no kids.

We had animals each night. The monkey , then a rabbit. He slowly died as we missed our CC day. Our last night we had two swans. We had no kids either. Just 2 adults. Our monkey lasted the whole cruise. We hung the green laundry bag behind him and put him out of the way. We liked going back to the room at night to see what we had. Cant wait until our cruise next week!!!!!

In the beginning, I don't think the towel animals were a standard thing. Some stateroom hosts/hostesses did them and some did not. But now they pretty much all do, and there is even a class and pamphlet you can get. They had the class on our three-day Wonder, since we had a day at sea instead of Castaway Cay. My guess is they offer it on the four-day too.

I think it is steward dependent. If they know how to do them, they will do them. We had some great ones.

Our room steward on our 7 day last year did not seem to do towel animals as a rule. The only nights we received them were the night we asked customer service if it was possible to get one and 1 other night when we left a note in our room asking if he could please give us a towel animal. Our room steward this year was outstanding. When we told her that we didn't hardly get any towel animals last year she was shocked, and said "This was on Disney!?" So, I recommend you at least politely ask for them if you don't receive any. Good luck. Kim

We also spoke with our Stateroom Hostess early on during a & day Magic, and mentioned that DS (7 at the time)was looking forward to towel animals, he liked them on our 4 day Wonder. She said that she could not on the first night but that she would be happy to after that. I hadn't thought about the first night issue before, and it was perfectly understandable. We had brought our stuffed Mickey from the Wonder, Oddball from WDW AK, and a big pair of Mickey Hands from MK with us, so those were all put to good use on nights 2-7 as well. Next cruise they will all make the trip again, and I plan to take the stuffed Disney Cruise Ship with characters I got in some promotion a year or so ago, maybe that can also be put to good use in towel animal/cute pose mode by stateroom host.

Okay, its as much fun for me as for DS.
