Hello! I am taking a SOLO trip to DL in September! I was looking on the Disneyland website for a tour like the Keys to the Kingdom tour they do in WDW. I see they have Cultivating the Magic and Discover the Magic. Which is most like KTTK? What is different about the two? I have never been to Disneyland (I do have a photo of my Mom on some kind of Alice in Wonderland ride from the late 50's early 60's though!) and will have 5 days in the park (with two "free days" that may take me to Universal or if there is a game to see the Ducks play!). Just looking for thoughts on what is different about the two. Thanks!

The Discover the Magic tour is geared towards kids. I think you would feel very out of place doing this tour as a solo adult. We did this tour for my daughter's 6th b-day and the kids loved it. There were only families with young children in our group, all under the age of 9.

That is good to know, thank you! I saw that one had kids as a target age while cultivating didn't so I wasn't quite sure.

Consider seeing a Kings game, they have a much better arena.

I was actually thinking I may go that way. The main reason I was leaning to the Ducks was they used to be my AHL team's parent club so I've seen a handful of them play in person. Guess I'll see who's home when I'm there/ticket cost. As unlikely as it may be, if either of them play the Lightning (AHL team's current parent club), that'll be the one I try to go to.

The walts footsteps tour would be your best bet IMO.

This. I just did it on my solo trip report. I only learned a single fact I didn't already know on the tour though, so it all depends on what you hope to get out of it.

The Cultivating the Magic tour is geared towards the Flora of the DLR.

I'm planning to do Walk in Walt's Footsteps for my birthday in September. Can't wait! It definitely seems like the most suitable for what you're after :thumbsup2
