I'm going to be in Melbourne, FL for a couple of days in about a week on the back end of our Disney vacation, and I see that the Vero DVC resort is only about a half hour from where we're going to be. Does anyone know if we were to swing by there, would they let us in to look around, or would we get turned away at the gate for not having a reservation?

Wanting to check it out to see if we might like to stay there on a future trip...

Let's know if you can do a tour....that is the next resort for 2014 that I would love to visit....good luck..:)

You could even a quick service lunch with a dole whip! Or go to the green cabin room

There's really not all that much to tour.

The tour of Zero Beach (and I say that very lovingly) will take an hour at best. Buy a burger and drink on the patio of the green cabin is always nice. No flames please...I adore Vero Beach...it's just there's not a whole lot to do around there!!!

A few years ago, we were driving from Miami to Orlando so stopped by Vero Beach to check out the location, buildings and beach. We had a nice lunch on the back deck of the Green Cabin Room. We really liked the place. Since then we've spent 2 full weeks there on vacation :lovestruc I'd recommend a stop there. Enjoy!

You'd need a room key to get in and out of the pool area as well as onto and off of the beach. But, you could tour the main building, shops and have a drink and some food at the Green Room which is an upper floor of the main building and overlooks the ocean...very nice. But I agree with a PP...there's not a lot to do around there.
