Good Day. I have recently signed up on the disboards, however, I am an avid reader of many posts. I hope all of you wonderful dis members could help. My family; myself, dh, ds and dd both 4yrs old are going to Disney next week for 3 nights. Although I am a long time veteran of DisneyWorld, I still need some guidance. We will be arriving on Wednesday afternoon, we really didn't want to go to a park until Thursday morning. My thought was to 1) have dinner at a Monorail resort and do the loop with the kids (hopefully trying to the front car) or 2) going to DownTown Disney for dinner. Also, if anyone has been to the Osbourne lights, I was curious to know how loud the music gets.

Thanks!!!

I love to eat at Ohana and then do the loop. It is nice to get off at each resort and see the theming and Christmas decorations. One time we were approached and asked to ride in the front car and we didn't even have kids with us. There must not have been any families with kids on the platform. It was cool, I think your kids would love it. As for Osbourne lights I have seen them in the past and did not think much about the music. However, this year we were there for a preview in early November and the music at the entrance was really loud. Not so lous as you moved down and arounf the street. Maybe someone that has been there recently and seen the real show could be of more assistance.

I would suggest doing the monorail tour. Downtown Disney might be a bit crowded with holiday shoppers. The monorail tour and dinner would be more relaxing for your first evening. A nice place might be Grand Floridian Cafe for dinner.

Don't forget the Osborne Lights are IN the MGM Studios park - I mention that because you said you didn't want to go to a park the first night and thought you might have been thinking of that... sorry if I misunderstood.

I think your plan for dinner and a monorail sounds good. In fact our first night that's exactly what we'll be doing - dinner at the Grand Floridian before we go back to slum it (not really) at the All Star Music for the night!

I can't wait!!

Not sure if this is a last minute trip or not but wanted to just to advise/ask you to make sure you make your ADR's before you leave for your meals.

:welcome: To the Dis!!!!

Make sure you have made your ADRs.

I would prefer a breakfast at one of the Monorail resorts and then head to a park. I cannot answer your question about the music at Disney Studios-MGM.
