Hi All. We are going to AK in July with our 8 & 10 yr old children in July. I have looked at the UG touring plan, and although it covers a lot of territory, we only have about a half a day or so to spend at the AK. The "must sees" that we would like to encounter are as follows: Kilimanjaro Safari, Dinosaur, Tarzan Rocks , It's Tough to Be a Bug & Festival of the Lion King. My question to you all is,
should we follow the UG and just do the "must sees" on our list, or make up an entirely new plan. If a new plan is recommended, any suggestions for order to do these would be MOST welcome.
Thanks for all your knowledge & insights (this is our first time ever to WDW). Oh and, does the UG's one day plan actually take an entire day or can it be done in 4-6 hours? Thanks and TTFN....

cdnliving,

I would say that the UG's plan for AK will take a whole day especially in July. I would say take the list of the items you want to do and get there when the gates open and hop to it!! In July you want to go early in the morning to AK because it is literally Africa hot at that park in July.

What you would do assuming you are there at park opening is follow the plan - if something is on the plan you do not want to experience then skip that attraction and move to the next one on the plan - a new plan is not required
