Going to WDW in September. I always make Touring Plans from touringplans.com. But with crowds predicted at a level 1 will they really be needed? Anyone experienced crowd levels 1 before?
We have hit level 1 crowds, but we still took our TouringPlans plans along with us. Typically, we ended up with a lot more of what they call "free time" to browse the stores, take our time at meals, etc. In the interest of keeping out of the longer lines (which will still happen in level 1 sometimes), I'd have a plan handy, at least as a backup!
Ditto! We go every other year in early September and have seen really low crowds but I still have a plan and a rough plan list of where to go when. It can't hurt to be overprepared, right?

I wouldn't go with either of those. It's always recommended to knock out the rides where the lines build quickly. I see that it will be your first visit, I would recommend checking out easywdw's site and looking at his cheat sheets, they are very helpful.
What was your touring strategy in Nov.
We usually would go 10/25-10/31 but now going 11/14-11/21, is there a longer wait on rides, colder...any tips for first time Nov traveler?
I went once the week after Thanksgiving in 2000 and remember being cold, lol

I make my plans on a spreadsheet. If you would like, I can see if I can send the spreadsheet to you on a private message. This is going to be my first trip with FP+. I always park hop to allow flexibility every day (this will be crucial for us this year since I will have my 2YO DD with us for the first time). I have my basic plan for which park each day and I base my dining reservations around that to keep from running around too much and missing attractions.
The waits are not much longer in early to mid- November than in October. I have always been able to wear shorts every day, HOWEVER I always pack for both warm and cooler weather. FL weather can turn on a dime.
