5:30AM eastern woof I’ll have to get up before the chickens to see the start !!! I’ll need to sign up for Peacock first might as well do that tonight. That way I’ll have it in time for the Olympics!! I do miss the days when they used to broadcast us on TV I’ll even go back to they used to broadcast it two or three times on TV for free the whole thing each stage! Grateful I get to watch it even if I have to pay for streaming !!

Watching now! Peacock is included for free with our cable package, but I just spent quite a few minutes resetting my password to get in. And I just looked at the route map for the first time and saw that they are not ending in Paris due to the Olympics. News to me! We always comment each and every year on the logistics of the race and are amazed that they bring us every moment live. I am astounded at the racer's athleticism and the views of where they ride are incredible! Let's hope for no stupid fan interference this year!

I enjoy watching the TDF, but mostly as a travelogue. It's fun to watch the scenery and the landmarks. I can't take any of the racing seriously, though, since it's all just one big dope fest. Seems like most of them are or will be on something, it's just a matter of the testing catching up to whatever new substance they've concocted. Too many over the years have come up dirty for me to take it seriously as a competition. But it is nice to look at.
