TOTWL - Does it fill to capacity, and of so, how early?

We're thinking of heading over there tonight (staying at OKW). Wondering how early we'd need to be to ensure we'd get in. Wishes is at 10. We thought we'd get some drinks and snacks then watch. Thoughts?

We are going tonight as well, meeting friends there. We went Friday night about 8pm and it was not busy until about 9pm, still not full though.

It's never even been near capacity when we've been there and I don't think I've heard of it happening. New Years might be about the only time I'd expect it to be a concern.

I've been there several times, but not since they opened it up to all DVC guests, so I didn't know if that had changed the landscape at all...

Top of the World Lounge at BLT.

I've arrived around an hour before fireworks with 3 friends and had to sit for drinks in a little room, not in the large open area. I considered it pretty full..this was in January. In general, we arrive at least an hour before fireworks.

Sorry! We did go over on Sunday night. Arrived at about 8pm and had a very leisurely evening with lots of drinks and apps (and desserts!).

There were maybe two other parties there at 8, but by showtime (10) it had filled in - full but not uncomfortably so.

At any rate, the show was canceled because of the storms - really just torrential downpours and close lightning, which was fun in itself to watch from the lounge. The staff said they may do it later, as it was EMH hours at MK that night. But we didn't stay to find out. Left around 10:30 or so, not diappointed per se, as we still had a great evening.

I sincerely hope they decide to keep the benefit for all DVC members. We have always used it when we stay at BLT and it has always made me nervous to see it so dead, because I worry we'll lose it if they don't make money on it. It eas nice to see it being used Sunday.
