The 500 is in 2 weeks. Just wondering if anyone from our board is going. I'm taking the camper down next Sunday to find a spot. We usually park across from the track along the road. There's hundreds of campers who just boondock on the road and party all week. I usually lock the camper up and come back on Thursday for the Duels. IM me if you're heading down.

I will be there in spirit only

We went to the 125's a while back and the only way I would go again is the way you described. That place is REALLY hard to get in and out of.

Hi,

Nope I won't be going, but I am a big fan. I am not much into going to the races (I know everyone tells me I'm nuts). I will be watching it on tv and I am trying to decide if I want to join the fantasy racing thing again with a bunch of strangers. Anyway, have fun....

"Let's go Racing Boys! Boogity-Boogity!"

Go Carl Edwards ...Here's to a better year Jaimie McMurry!

This is not OT! I'd like to go but won't. I wonder how Jr will do now that he can't blame it all on DEI? Should be interesting. I'd actually like to see him have a breakout season!

A few years back we did the Pepsi 400 in July but we stayed at FW with a bunch of family but it was only DH and I and DS and his friend. We drove over in a rental car, parked not too far from Hooter's and spent a good part of the afternoon in that area, had a GREAT meal, got the WWE's Big Show's autograph and then went in to the race with a cooler. We got lucky getting out of that place after the race I tell ya...cuz it was CRAZY!

Wont make the 500. But we watch this race car when we are in Florida.

My last Daytona 500 was years ago, I want to get back so bad. Looks like I'm going to have to wait a few more years now, but I'll definitely be watching on TV at home (or probably at a local sports bar...lol)!

I think I'll take one of the gennies over to the storage lot, fire it up and watch TV in the comfort of my TT. Plenty of peace and quiet there.
