Hello to all you Disney Lovers in the UK. I'm hoping someone from there can help me. I'm looking for a friend of mine whom I lost touch with. I'm from Canada, and she's from England. Coventry, actually. I have an address, and I was wondering if and/or how I could look her up on the internet to verify if she still lives there. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you.

Thank you very much for your tip Richard. I found out her parents still live there. It's a start. Just out of curiosity, why no future trips planned ever??

Its all down to DD schooling. In the past we've always taken her out of school for our holidays as travelling in school holiday time doubles the cost, which means it is prohibitive for us to get to WDW. DD has now reached the age (13) where we said we wouldn't take her away from her studies. So there are another 5 years before she goes to University, followed by at least 3 years at University itself.

Also, unfortunately (see the thread "Downsizing, Separation") my wonderful company has recently decided to dispense with my services - I can't go into details because there is a legal case going on at the moment. However, I can say it was nothing to do with performance, misconduct etc., but it does mean I am part of the world's unemployed at the moment (and I must say after 27 years working without a break I am, so far, enjoying it).

Melissa,

I've just spotted where you live (unless there is more than one Milton, Ontario). We have friends who live in Guelph (just north of Guelph Lake). We were there last year for an excellent holiday - still missing the Tim Hortons!

Yes! We're actually quite close to Guelph! Personally, I am not a coffee fan, but I do like my "Second Cup" moccacchino, every once in awhile. I'm probably the only canadian who is not a big fan of Timmy's.

I'm hoping to be able to save up enough to take my DH, and DD #1 (2 years) and DD#2 (2 1/2 months) to England next summer to visit his Aunt and Uncle, and cousins. Its going to be my DH's anniversary gift, for our fifth, to make up for the fact that every year previous to this we have always been broke when it came time for our Anniversary. Do you have any suggestions for what to see when we're there?

Where do the Aunt and Uncle live? Also, do you want to do the "history" holiday?

They live in Sommerset, and one of their sons lives in London, the other in Wales. History holiday sounds exactly right for me :cloud9: Is it like a tour of historical sites, and buildings?

If you were to visit Somerset I would recommend going to Wells Cathedral and the Cathedral city of Bath (named after the Roman baths there).

In London there is plenty to see: Buckingham Palace; the Tower of London (incl Crown Jewels); St. Paul's Cathedral; Houses of Parliament etc etc. Around London you have Hampton Court; Windsor Castle (where the Queen lives most of the time) and a little further afield; the university cities of Oxford and Cambridge.

There are plenty of castles in Wales (do you know which town?). I would also recommend going to York; "do" the welsh border towns of Ludlow (large castle); Shrewsbury (pronounced Shrozebury; Castle, Tudor buildings; cobble streets; the Abbey[Brother Cadfael]; birthplace of Charles Darwen); Chester (Cathedral; City Walls).

Whew! We'll obviously have lots to keep us busy. I'm not sure where in Wales Drew and Michelle are, but I'll make sure to ask Margaret (Peter's Grandma.) I can't wait to see everything.
