Your trip is getting closer! Super excited for you! You should definitely do a DR! They will get used to the picture taking pretty quick. My DH actually gets into it now too. It's fun to relive all the food memories once you are back at home.

Good luck to your DH in the job hunt. I just finished my Master's in Dec and have been in the same boat job hunting, but kind of have the opposite philosophy when it comes to vacationing. Because I've been subbing through the degree and ever since, I figure this is our last chance to take vacations without my having to ask for time off, so we've been squeezing in last-minute and thrown together trips for DS and I, just avoiding scheduling any trips when I have an interview potentially happening in the next few weeks!

Congrats on your Master's! That is some serious hard work. You're right, I wish we had taken another trip in there somewhere before he has to rely on pre-approved vacation time at a new job. We didn't take advantage of that as much as we could have. We really wanted to fit in a trip at the end of July, but like you said, we couldn't risk being away and have him miss out on an interview.

Unfortunatly I don't think we'll be making it down there this month, so I guess I'll have to take a rain check on those cocktails. On a positive note, the job that DH got has positions in the area of Florida we are hoping to move to and they told him he could easily transfer, so a move to Florida might be in our future in the next couple of years. Then I would have a lot more opportunities to meet up for drinks with all my fab DISers!

Thank you! We're pretty excited about his new opportunity. As far as the name change goes I think I'll still stick with jerseytinkerbell. You know what they say, you can take Tinker Bell out of Jersey, but you can't take the Jersey out of Tinker Bell! I think that's how it goes, right?
