I just called and they switched me to the "APH" rate, no problem.

I never would have known a thing about this, if I hadn't checked out these forums! This will end up saving us about $50 overall. Hey, fifty bucks is fifty bucks.

Of course, she did try to sell me on going with a different hotel, to get the free Unlimited Express passes.... But I am still pretty dead-set on having the refrigerator, microwave, and sleeping room for all 5 of us without having to mess with a rollaway, air mattress, etc.

Plus I think it will be cool to stay at the BRAND-NEW hotel. Getting so excited! Thanks again!

I know the space in Cabana Bay is better for a large family, but I'd have to do with less space to get the Express Passes. We spent so much time in the parks, we wouldn't have used the fridge/microwave anyway, and we normally got back to the hotel and crashed within 30 minutes. The express passes allowed us to get SO much more use of our park time, I'd never do Universal again without them. To me, every minute I'm NOT standing in line is a precious vacation minute I can use for something FUN. I'd rather sleep under more cramped circumstances and have SO much more enjoyable time while at the parks.
