Total change no longer driving need advise or Sanford Airport

In my quest to get to Disney, on a last minute trip idea. We were going to drive to save money. However, after adding time, gas and extra hotel. The cost saving was decreasing. So I looked at Allegiant airlines. Granted we will fly out of Lexington, KY> But we will have free parking because we will be staying at my brothers. He will drop us off. I was able to snag 59.00/each way. Not to shabby. However car rentals in Sanford I know nothing about. Who is the best? Who should I avoid?

If it's last minute look now grabbing the best rate and watch for a drop. Sanford SFB is a bit higher then MCO. I have used Alamo, but have an Oct rental from Thrifty as I watch for a better rate.

Three weeks out has been when I grabbed the best rates.

Oh, pack light for Allegiant, the lbs limit is 40, they charge for a carry on and the check bag. A back pack is free. Drinks are a fee so grab something before you board.

I have flown Allegiant a few times and our next trip is Allegiant. The smaller airport is nice, fast direct service is really great.

We prefer to rent with Alamo. They have nice cars, you get to pick the car you want - although now I think all rental companies let you pick the car in the lot that you want to drive, of course though it has to be in the car class that you have rented. Usually can find good Alamo coupons by doing a search online for "Alamo rental coupons 2014".

The closer your trip the better the price. I just snagged a 5 day rental with Alamo for next week for a grand total of $42.00 for a midsize. So keep watching the rates as your trip gets closer.
