ToT Crowds

Been perusing the Lines app, and ToT lines seem unusually long :worried:. Longer than RnR and TSM consistently! And running out of FP's sooner. We planned to hit RD, ride RnR as many times as possible before the crowds get too out of hand and then head over to ToT, which usually doesn't have bad SB lines compared to the other two. Anybody know why the high SB wait ? I know it is 2nd tier, but don't know if that would be a reason...

I seen this over a period of several day, and the crowd levels are not that high right now. We are planning to go over Spring Break, so kind of worried!

Thanks!

It's possible that having TOT as a tier 2 attraction results in more people having FP+ reservations for it than for any other attraction (because TSMM and RNRC are divided) and that could cause the standby wait to be longer. It could definitely cause FPs to run out sooner.

The line at TOT could also get long if RNRC goes down for awhile; that seems to happen frequently.

Looking right now (2 PM EST), the waits are posted as 60 at TSMM, 50 at RNRC, and 40 at TOT. Those don't seem that unusual, and clearly reflect a lower crowd day (especially the 60 minutes at TSMM).

I also see that only RNRC shows as having FP remaining, but those are for a return of just 35 minutes out. That really makes me think that TOT FPs are going faster because of being in tier 2. Usually RNRC FPs run out sooner and have later return times.

FWIW, Star Tours has a posted wait of 10 minutes with immediate FP return. In other words, it's currently a walk on.

Could it also be the result of them having trouble with one of the elevators or doing refurb work on one, but not both? Just an idea.

Always possible that a longer line could be a result of a breakdown or some other reason why the ride is not operating at full capacity.

Or maybe a couple of Brazilian tour groups just came through.

I just checked again and the reported time now is 20 minutes.

That is more what I am used to seeing - I was watching the last couple of days, it always seemed high...until I post this thread of course

Hope it is just little glitches so we can slide on during our trip

Because that attraction does have the 2 independent drop shafts, if one goes down, the wait time will immediately double. Then, when everything is running smooth again, the wait time gets cut in half and looks more like it did before things went awry.
