My husband and I thought it was funny when we were in the Mexico pavilion to see that they were selling tostitos in the shops, but we were totally bummed when we ate at San Angel to be served Tostitos with our salsa! What a diappointment! I had visions of freshly made warm nacho chips, and instead I got chips from a bag. What a total bummer in such an expensive restaurant!

Well that certainly makes up our minds for us! We've got really great Mexican food here, so I'm glad to know to not waste my money on it there. I'm with you that you would certainly think they could do better than bagged chips you can get at the grocery store!

I remember two years ago I thought the same thing. I thought this year the chips were better. I too wish they served real homemade and not from a bag.

I would say you have got to be kidding me, but apparently Tostitos are served in the authentic Mexican restaurant.

I'm shaking my head and chuckling at that...

It's a real shame how that place has gone down. I had lunch there on my first WDW trip 21 years ago and it was wonderful. DH and I had a fabulous dinner there years ago. No desire to return now.

I never understand why people suggest this restaurant. It was horrible and the chips tasted like cardboard. It's way to expensive for such a blah experience. I am not a picky eater when it comes to Mexican food. Alaska is not known for it's great mexican food but I could find at least 4 restaurants in Anchorage that serve better Mexican food than San Angel Inn, cheaper too!
