Tornado warning - Ipswich, MA - Essex County

A tornado has been spotted and the news is telling people to take cover now in that area. A trained spotter has confirmed the funnel cloud, but not a touch down as of yet.

I was in Swampscott at a doctor's appoinment and the people were freaking out. My kids were home in Lynn with my mother in law and they all went down to the basement.My sister lives in Marblehead and they believe one may have touched down there.

There was one in marblehead yesterday and so many trees down.

I hope so too, sounds as though only property suffered damages....

I live in Marblehead and as far as I know no injuries. Quite a bit of property damage and there were a few houses struck by lightening. There were like 3 rounds of storms. The first round had hail the size of golf balls and started a house fire. I felt so bad for the firemen fighting the fire whilst going through rounds 2 and 3.I have to say another fine job by the Marblehead,Swampscott and Salem Fire and Police Depts.

PS...I have visited Salem and Marblehead many times and LOVE both towns!
