Torn between adding on at BWV or AKV!

We already own 300 points at BWV, and 165 at HH. I want just a few more points(50-75), but I keep going back and forth between more at BWV and AKV! I love our home at BWV, but the AKL has been my favorite non-DVC resort since the first time we visited. I wish the price and point charts were available - that might help me decide.

Is anyone else having this dilemma? What do you think you are going to do and why?

We discussed the AKV. I can't picture us owning there but I can see us staying there for a couple of nights in the future. We really like the BWV at Christmas Time and that's when and where the 11 month window is really important. We figure we may try to get in at 7 months for a trip during one of the more uncrowded times of the year but if we couldn't change our reservations from the BWV or BCV to the AKV, it wouldn't kill us.

I really like AKL but DW is pretty ho-hum about it, so I don't see us buying points there. Just visit now and again as HBC suggests.

One other consideration. AKV is going to be a fairly large resort (bigger than BWV) so getting in there at 7 months probably won't be a big problem most times of the year. However, a lot depends on whether they have different guaranteed "views" like BWV does.

We know that getting SV or Boardwalk View villas at BWV without the 11 month booking advantage can be problematic during certain times of the year.

I wonder if AKV is going to have the same problem? Based on the rumor mill, they may very well have different guaranteed view classifications and the 11 month window might become important there as well.

For now, the "decision" is academic until they release all the information and point schedules for AKV. No use worrying about the decision until you know what you're deciding on!

with the akv you know you will get 12-15 years extra, than bwv. you might not need it but it might be good for your kids or someone else you could leave it to.
