TOP THREE JOBS --- If you could work anywhere in Disney World

For me, #1 is definitely king at working at AK either in Discovery Island by the tip board or under the umbrella by entrance the train, giving guests directions to places, etc.
#2 Lobby concierge at AKL, helping vacationers with information, reservations
#3 Working in the gift shop at OKW-it just seems so homey and friendly there

I always joke that when I retire, I want to be Cinderella's fairy godmother. :cloud9:

But then, it gets mighty hot there, so maybe I'd only want that for a winter job... I don't know how happy kids would be to meet a godmother drenched in sweat.

A tour guide or "person who makes wishes come true" would be great, too.

There lies the problem with most of the possible WDW dream jobs. In between the heat and the potential crazy hours for a resort open 365 days a year, (MK EMH until 3am+) I'm having trouble thinking of a job I'd really like..

A lot of jobs seems like they would require a lot of standing. I would have a real problem standing on my feet for an entire shift...especially when the shift is more than 8 hours.

I doubt Disney hires them but I would like to be a "mystery guest", like the ones hired by stores, hotels and restaurants. Free food, free lodging, being paid to vacation. :cloud9:

At one time, DH's dream was to be a RR conductor or engineer. Now he thinks he would like to work at Port Canaveral for embarkation onto DCL.

I'd be happy to work the Cruise line desk, at one of the resorts.

Bobbi:boat:

1.) Love to work at the Haunted Mansion.

2.) Drive the Monorail between Epcot and the Magic Kingdom.

3.) Be a tour Guide in the Magic Kingdom.

1) Work at tower of terror or haunted mansion

2) dvc sales - I'd know my product :)

3) Work at the Main Street Confectionary.

1. Work in The Enchanted Tiki Room as Host (assuming the show is the original of course....couldnt pay me enough to endure UNM LOL)

2. Monorail Pilot

3. Drive the train at MK!

1) I would be the PA announcer for Disney's Wide World of Sports for Spring Training

2) I would be the PA announcer for the college basketball tournament they have over Thanksgiving

3) I would work in the legal department at WDW so I can see how many actually try and sue Disney for this or that

I'm not really sure what I would like to do.....don't think I would like to work in a park though......I think it would definitely be something at one of the resorts.
My youngest son is, however, there right now working in the College Program on the Backlot Tour at HS......he's been there since Jan 10th and won't be coming home until May 13th. So, if anyone is visiting in the next few months and you go on the Backlot Tour......look for a good looking kid named Jake with Penn State on his ID badge....and say Hi!!!

My DW is all over this one:
In the night time parade at MK
A wish maker
A lifeguard

I went to school with the love of robotics and puppetry. Somehow, I graduated with a programming degree instead of on in CE so I could develop the next "rover" :rotfl: My dream job anyplace in Disney would be to work with animatronics or show elements and programming them to respond in ways we interpret to be very real & make kids of every age smile.

Second to that, as a senior citizen I think I'd like to work either in the display candy kitchens (used to own a chocolate shop) or in ticketing. Really it doesn't matter, as long as I'm doing a job that can help make folk smile and step into a world beyond their everyday one of stress.
