Top Secret Pixie Dust! A Surprise 13th Birthday PTR! NEW! TRIP REPORT LINK PAGE 220!

First of all, :cool1: for one month!!! I have been away this weekend and missed alot!! I love the pics of the Toy Story toys and I can't wait to go home and see the movie. I can't at work because my computer does not have sound for some strange reason. I saw TS3 last night and really could have lost it if I did not try hard to compose myself. I really could not look at Andy a few times at the end of the movie. I would look over at my little boys and it would make it worse. My DH said there is no way the boys toys are going anywhere now when they leave:lmao: He knows how sentimental I am. I cannot give away their clothes for the life of me. I need help!! I am such a baby.

Welcome back from your trip!

At least you are in good company, I think we all feel that way after seeing the movie! I desperately need to work on Connor's room but haven't been able to since seeing the movie.

Some odds and ends before I get started on today’s update.

A few days ago, when it was drizzling outside, Chelsea decided she wanted to read in the rain. We looked outside and saw this.

Yesterday, Chelsea was “unplugged” meaning she was banned from the use of the computer and television as punishment for something she had done the previous night. She spent most of the day moping around claiming she was bored. At one point, I looked over and she was fast asleep on the floor with the dogs. Well, Nala wasn’t asleep -- she looked like she wanted to escape.

When I went to the grocery store the other day, they were all out of the Lemonade Swirl ice cream we had enjoyed so much, but I did find some other Toy Story goodies -- cereal (which reminds me a lot of Captain Crunch), Green Army Men gummies, and Playroom Pals gummies. The kids thoroughly enjoyed them all.

Okay, on to the real update…

Yesterday, we made our Little Green Men cupcakes. The actual LGM wanted to come help.

“Now, guys, we need that bowl for the icing.”

The puppies were hoping to get in on all the fun.

Getting just the right shade of green was harder than I thought it would be. Chelsea wanted to add more yellow, but I was afraid that would make it look like mustard. I should have listened to her because afterwards she experimented with the leftover frosting and did get the right shade after adding more yellow. Also, tinting some of the frosting black for the pupils on the eyes (York Peppermint Pieces) proved to be difficult. Our LGM ended up with gray pupils.

We really should have given them some ears and antenna. Things to remember for next time.

“Oh, NO! Someone lost an eye!!!”

Luckily, it was quickly claimed. Although, I suspect this one really wasn't missing an eye. Something just seems to be telling me that. ;)

“I have been chosen! Farewell, my friends! I go on to a better place!”

Have a great Wednesday -- we will be eating our cupcakes and watching the USA play their third World Cup soccer match.

Super cute cupcakes! If I were feeling more brave I might try them with my kids. ;) We found the gummies too, needless to say they didn't last long around here.

Love the cupcakes. I'm pretty sure I will be making those for Brooklynn's class in August.

The picture of Chelsea and the dogs is hilarious! It will probably be one of those days she very distinctly remembers when she is 28. I have a couple of those crystal clear moments that I now look back on and see why I didn't get to do something and how dramatic I was. (SHH! I don't want MeMom to know)

The cupcakes are cute. I am pretty sure I will be purchasing a tub of little green aliens on this trip. I'm going to turn them in with my school allowance receipts (usually $100 -$200, depending on what the budget is doing on a given year) and use them in a Math center or something.

Love 'the claw' picture. :goodvibes

Soccer,
cupcakes,
Kleenex ;),
and counting down to a not very far away Disney trip. :dance3:

Life is good. :)

Jill, Jill, Jill.....
you just better watch out for your future.
Your not quite four year old has as much drama in her now as you did at fifteen!
You are in for some fun :upsidedow times. :rotfl:

Jackie, those little girls give us a rough time off and on for a few years, but when it is over, they turn out to be magnificent young women and awesome, incredible, fabulous friends.

For the record, Jill was a breeze in comparison to many, because she wasn't into any kind of wildness, she was a great student, very involved in school, etc. I'm sure Chelsea will be a breeze, as well.

I believe Connor said something along the lines of that being the sequel which he has already named: "Pinatas in Jail 2: The Prison Break." :rotfl:

I am loving his sense of humor.

Love those cupcakes.

Chelsea being unplugged with the dogs is :rotfl:
Reading in the rain is something I would have done at that age. Just because. :confused3

I love those cupcakes!! What a cute idea. I wish I could watch the match. I am sure Jason, my DH, is planning his morning around it. He is a teacher by trade, but is a stay at home dad for the next couple of years until my youngest is in preschool. He really is not sure which job is harder :lmao:

Thanks! We enjoyed our trip. I just love South Carolina. My favorite places are Disneyworld, Hawaii and the lowcountry of South Carolina (?spelling). I would move to that area in a heartbeat but Jason wants to stay put in Tennessee and our family is from here.

Is it wrong that I like it when Chelsea is "unplugged", she always seems to have a great moment of drama. I love that you share it with us. :lmao:

Your cupcakes looks so cute! I love that you took pictures with the little green aliens. :goodvibes

CP, your cupcakes are SO cute!! What a fun idea :goodvibes they make me wish Patrick had gone through with a TS3 movie party. Instead we are having a pool party and a themed cake to go along with it which will be cute too.

Hi Jackie -
LOVE the cupcakes! So cute!!!

Connor is quite the budding filmmaker. We can say, "we knew him when..." :)

Have a great day!!

Katie

I love that picture of Chelsea, it is too funny! And I can't believe how big Nala is. How quickly our babies grow, eh? :goodvibes

All the Toy Story toys are on rollback at Walmart right now. I literally have to force myself to walk past that aisle before I buy everything up for DS. He is so into Toy Story, and we haven't gotten to see the third one yet. I can't wait!

I love the cupcakes. Did you find that recipe online or make it up? It looks like so much fun. :thumbsup2

Very cute cupcakes!!

I love that you upload so many pics. I need to be better about it. It just seems to take me more time than I think it should. What photosite do you use?

We watched Monsters Inc last night, I would love to make cupcakes with Sully blue icing, but then I would have to eat them! :rotfl2: (Kinda defeats the trying to be healthier kick!)

Deb

Love the cupcakes and the commentary too. That "You have been chosen" line had me cracking up. :rotfl2:

:rotfl: Loved the whole cupcake thing!!!! :rotfl: Too funny!

That picture with the dogs is priceless. I am so dreading all that teenage drama. My DD has enough of that already at 6! I think it is a girl thing too, so I better get prepared.

I'm going to add "little green men cupcake stuff" to my shopping list right now!

Awwww! Your cupcakes are too cute! Actually I've been craving cupcakes lately. I mentioned it to Will and he looked at me like I had three heads. Lol. I guess what scared him was the "craving" part. Lol.

I loved Chelsea reading in the rain. Lol

The cupcakes look great! I kept thinking, "But, where's The Claw!?" and then I saw the final picture. :thumbsup2

The picture of Chelsea napping with the dogs made me smile. Very cute cupcakes. What a fun activity and the best part, you get to eat them later. You did get to eat them right?

Cute cupcakes Jackie - I bet you guys had fun making those, they look good too and I'm already hungry - you really aren't helping matters there!

Love the picture of Chelsea sleeping with the dogs during her oh so awful unplugged day. I'm sure if you asked my mom she would tell you that I had plenty of drama moments as a teen as well, but I certainly don't remember having any............. :rolleyes1

Your cupcakes are cute! How ironic, I actually made some Little Green Alien cupcakes two days ago!
These are mine(:
