TOP SECRET Ladies and gentlemens like the previous year MY FREE DINING NEWS

I got my free dining for a 10/28 to 11/3 stay at POP! I saw it here first, but I did receive an email from Disney Rewards around 1pm today. Also, when I called (almost no wait at all) I had to put another $200 down on the Disney Visa. Sounds like that is not the norm. Oh well, it was probably gonna end up on there anyway and now it looks like I am even closer to having it paid off! Disney math!

I am not prepared to put down another $200 on this trip right this moment.....I hope that when I call on thursday I will not have to! I've paid several $100's on this trip already as we already have a vacation package reserved with 8 day park hopper and ddp. I just want to get the FREE ddp added to this existing package at POR (not a standard room....we have a King room so it was already $25 extra per night). Does anything think I'll have to pay more on thursday?

The likely reason they had to put down $200 today is because you must pay $200 with a Disney Visa in order to use a DV discount. If you don't pay the original deposit with the Disney Visa, you have to make a $200 payment on the package to qualify you for the deal. There is no requirement for you as a non DV holder to pay anything else until your pay in full date.

Before I had my DV, I put the deposit on another card... they refunded that card and I put the deposit on my DV. The other card just sent me a refund check as there wasn't a balance on it.

Many apologies if this has already been answered, but I don't have time to read the entire thread!

The offer says "valid for arrivals most nights" and then lists the nights. Does this mean that if you arrive on, say, November 29th (which is on the list) that the offer extends through one's stay for the following week? Or would it just be for November 29th and the nights after that would have to be a separate non-free-dining-plan ressie?

TIA!

It means that if you check in on the 29th you're covered for your entire stay!

kerplop: Thank you so much!

I realize now that this question is answered on the very first post! Jeez! Sorry about that and thank you again!

As long as your room is available and you CHECK IN on and available day, you can get free dining for up to 14 days. If black out dates fall AFTER you check in, you still have free dining.

So wait a minute... the room discount for deluxe resorts doesn't start until the 21st? :confused3 :(

Seriously?

I'm confused by this. We are staying at the WL Oct 20-26 and I called this morning and was able to get FD - I even called back late this afternoon to verify that I had the FD - should I call again?

Do I have to use my Disney Visa to pay for the entire trip?

In other words, can I use it to pay my deposit and then pay the remainder by another means?

Thanks!

As far as I am aware, you only have to pay the deposit with your DV.

what time on thursday can we start calling? is it midnight EST or wait until it pops up disney's website?

7 AM...but be prepared to wait a long time. Actually if you call in the evening you will have a very little wait.

If you get confirmation email id say youre good. My CM i spoke to earlier said for our deluxe resort that the fd started on oct 19 so maybe there are some discrepancies with the start dates. My advice get that confirmation email and youre set!

:cool1: Just booked POFQ for 10 nights with free dining, I love my Disney Visa! I spoke with a great CM, it was all accomplished in a very short phone call, I was expecting a long wait , it was a breeze!

This is great... can you tell me... if I'm staying 14 nights do I have to buy a 10 days park pass to have the free dining... or can I just buy 2 days? I already have a pass!

You can just buy 2 days of tickets. Don't use them at all and you can put them toward an annual pass or use them at a later date!

Do I have to ask them to put the 2 days of tickets on another card than the KTW?

And, can I take 2 tickets of 2 days and change them for an annual pass?

You can have the tickets removed (to be a separate ticket) from your KTTW card once you arrive. I'm pretty sure you can only use a single ticket towards the purchase of each AP. You can double check that by reading Cheshire Figment's ticket sticky at the top of the Theme Parks Attractions and Strategies forum.

Most likely that CM doesn't know what they are talking about. In 8 years of free dining there has never been an instance of one resort category having a different start dates from the other resort categories. Someone has misread or misinterpreted something somewhere. There have been a number of people on different FD threads today saying that they didn't not have an issue booking a deluxe resort for those dates.
