Historically have the free dining dates for the general public been the same as the free dining dates Disney visa holders?

Wilderness Lodge is my favorite resort. We just wanted to try POR this time around. Of course, maybe it'll be a mixed blessing if I cannot keep our POR room on thursday if they happen to be sold out for the FD. I'll just have to move our ressies over to the WL! It's the least expensive of all the Deluxe resorts....it's unbelievable at Christmastime.......and it would only cost me an extra $350 or so once the free dining discount is taken off.

POFQ reminds me of New Orleans and being an hour from N.O. I want to be far away from that! Lol! I bet it is beautiful with the iron at Christmas though!

Yes, it should be the same, but due to resort availability, things may be slightly different as far as what resorts are included. We should know how it plays out on Thursday.

In reagrds to the increase in ticket price when you add FD to your package...

Does anyone know if they are doing this if your package was already paid in full before adding FD this morning? I'm trying to figure out if they charged me the ticket increase but I can't get the WDW website to cooperate to check the math. It's bogged down or something. It's driving me nuts not knowing! They charged me an extra $140 because I had to upgrade from a standard room to a garden view to get the FD. Does that sound right for a 7 night stay at POR? I can't figure out if that was just the room upgrade or a ticket increase as well.

I was paid in full, but with a 30% off code applied. I had to pay the 30% plus the ticket increase. I am thinking someone else posted today that it is only $5 or so a night for garden view, so you probably paid the new ticket price.

Without a disney visa you will need to wait til the gp release. Even if you upgrade now to that room it still ay not be available for the fd if all booked up. Call asap thurs am! Good luck!

They often release more rooms when it gets open to the public and even more throughout the time of the promotion. Just because something is not available today does not mean it won't be at all.

So i went back at the offer despite what the CM told me and the offer does say Deluxe resorts start for 10/21..... Wonder why CM said the 19th.... Prob just a mistake. Wanted to clarify a bit!

My DH was just approved for the Disney Visa a few days ago. Do you think he would qualify already? I obviously don't have the card yet, so I was thinking no.

I was planning on calling Thursday. Do I need any kind of PIN when I call then, or do I just ask for the free dining? I am hoping to get a standard room at one of the value resorts, do you think there will be any left? We really can't afford to stay at a moderate.

Thanks so much for posting, got FD for our trip 11/1-11/6 @POP.

Couple things, I did opt to pay the upgrade for the Regular Dining Plan, which was about $300. I asked how much the upgrade to POR instead of staying at POP and paying the upgrade was, and for my dates only Garden View rooms were available....so we decided against and are staying @POP.

Did stink that it wasn't offered for check ins 11/3, we chose to drive 11 hours to get free dining and check in 11/1 rather than fly and not get free dining 11/3...never had free dining before, hoping we made the right decision!

Lastly, I appreciate whoever posted about the Disney Visa getting first access. I'm suprised (and disapointed) that I didn't get an email from Disney Visa at all (so far) about the promotion. If I wasn't on the Dis, I wouldn't have known!! So thanks for posting!!

Hello! We are staying at AOA in a Nemo FS. I'm planning on calling Thurs. morning to get FD. We want to upgrade to the reg. DDP... will I need my CC info during that call? Or will they just add it to my reservation and I will pay the balance when my balance is due?

That depends on who you talk to. I could not add the free dining unless I gave them a disney visa cc # even though it was already booked with a disney visa cc and no charges needed to be billed today.

When I called earlier from work, the CM took my word for it that it was booked with a disney visa.

You must have the Visa in hand to book. You will not need anything when you call on Thursday other than something to use for your $200 deposit. Just tell them you re calling to book a free dining package and they can tell you what is available for your dates

I got my free dining for a 10/28 to 11/3 stay at POP! I saw it here first, but I did receive an email from Disney Rewards around 1pm today. Also, when I called (almost no wait at all) I had to put another $200 down on the Disney Visa. Sounds like that is not the norm. Oh well, it was probably gonna end up on there anyway and now it looks like I am even closer to having it paid off! Disney math!
