TOP SECRET Ladies and gentlemens like the previous year MY FREE DINING NEWS

No way to know in advance what the bounceback will be. We go in December and still haven't ever seen a FD bouceback. It's usually a room discount. Since we stay value, a 15 or 20% discount never does enough to get me to actually book it.

If you don't see a BB offer in the room when you check in, be sure to call and ask before checking out.

Us either, we always book our bounceback from our August vacation which is always during FD. We book it every year before we leave.

If you book bounce back, can you also get FD, or do you have to cancel and rebook.

If you book a bounceback offer as a package and then decide to switch to free dining, they can just modify your existing reservation. If you book a room only bounceback, you would have to cancel and rebook a free dining package. If the bounceback deal is for a room code, you can book a package with it. Just because it is a room only discount doesn't mean you can't book a package. Some people get confused with that, so I just wanted to make sure you knew.:thumbsup2

Also, you can only use one offer at a time, so you would have to do tue math to see which discount would benefit you the most.:goodvibes

I'm a little confused about one thing. I keep seeing people mention that there might be a Disney Visa FD offer that is released earlier than the 12th, but some are saying to look for it on the 9th and some say the 10th? Does anyone know what the most likely date would be? I'd also like to know why there is speculation about the DV offer since they haven't released the Oct.-Dec. FD to their cardholders since about 2009 or so? Does someone have some inside info on this? TIA!

I do not expect DV holders to get the fall dining offer early. We haven't for years. We have only gotten the summer offer early the last two years and we already got that one early this year, too. I think everyone will get the fall offer at the same time, on Thursday July 12.

I don't think you are missing anything. The Deluxe Dining Plan is very, very expensive. Unless you are doing most of the 2 credit signature meals it's not even worth it. We did it the deluxe plan when it first came out, and it wasn't as expensive then and we did not think it was worth the money or the time it takes to eat all of those TS meals.

Thank you!:)

Mom2rtk and Disneychic2:
I'm so sorry. Yes, you are right on the figures. I thought I heard him say 10, but he must have said sixTEEN. I can't believe he would purposely tell me wrong, so I'm sure I misheard. I should have checked my figures before posting, but the total quoted sounded about right to me. I was charged $221.21 to upgrade for 7 days, not $140 as I thought. A difference of $81.21 but still a great discount for me. That works out to $15.80 per day upcharge per person.

Right now we are booked pors royal guest room dec 8 thru dec 17. If fd is released I want to change my reservation to room only for dec 8 & 9. Then check out and check back in for dec 10 thru dec 17 with free dinning. How hard will it be to change our res to 2 separate reservations? I'm sure it will be worth the hassle for free dinning. Thanks.

I have no experience with that but I've gathered from the boards that it is doable! I just wanted to :wave2: and tell you we'll be neighbors of sorts on the 10th-17th.....we're at POR as well, but not in the Royal Guest rooms.

Its easy, call and tell them you need to change your package dates to the 10th-17th and they'll give you a new balance of course adding FD to the package, then hang-up, call back and book a room only for the other 2 nights and link it to the package reservation. I've done it before, no problem. They will tell you that you might have to change rooms, but usually they try to keep you in the same room, unless you are reserving 2 different room categories.

There is no reason to call twice in a row. You can do it all in one phone call.:thumbsup2

Thank you for the info. I thought it was doable. Just not looking forward to a long time on the phone with 2 toddlers getting into everything while I'm distracted!!

Keep them up a little later wednesday night :) Maybe they'll sleep in if you are berry berry quiet. :woohoo:

So, who else isn't going to be able to sleep Wednesday night? We should probably start a thread for ... "Can't sleep, waiting to call for FD" :) :rotfl2: I've been talking about getting FD with my girls and they have already decided where we will move our ressies to if I can't get in at POR RG room! I think they are becoming a bit obsessed too!

How certain are we that the FD will come out on Thursday?
I need advice. We are planning to go Oct. 21-28 hoping to book POR. (but my dates are flexible) I am using my Skymile points to book flights, so the earlier I can book them the more likely I will get the cheaper seats. Tuesdays are usually the best day to book these.
I am considering on booking my flights this Tuesday, but then again I am taking the chance that the FD dates will be as predicted. If they aren't and I end up needing to change my flights dates, it will cost me $400 in fees.
So should I book this Tuesday hoping FD dates will come out on Thursday with my travel dates included or should I wait until next week to book flights and hope the price/points of the tickets don't go up??:confused3:confused3

AHH! Disney sure knows how to make a mama crazy. :scared: Waiting until this late in the game to book flights is difficult for me. I am a planner, but held off waiting to see when FD would be offered!

Well, count me in...... :surfweb: I'll be right here!!!!!

See, I was kind of in the same boat, I fly AirTran and I came across a very good price and didn't want to lose the price, so I booked a trip based on the dates that people were saying was on their PIN codes that they were receiving, so I hope I don't get stuck. But we booked what we were able to afford if FD wasn't made available, but if it was then I got to have a whole lot of spending money!!!! :rotfl:

How quickly will POFQ fill up for a 12/10 arrival date? Do we really need to be on the phone that early out of fear they will sell out of rooms? My TA put a room on hold for me for 7 days during that time at POFQ...do we still need to call at 7 am or can the code just be applied?

Also, I called yesterday to try to make a reservation and put it on hold. The representative told me that there would not be FD during this time as she has not heard anything about it and Disney doesn't usually offer FD in December. Is that false? Also, she said that IF they do it will most likely be for the basic dining plan in which you get 2 counter service meals. Is that the case even when you stay in a moderate resort such as POFQ (I thought that was only if you were in a value resort)?

LOL! Only the last 4 years! That would make me negate everything else the CM had to say.

And I'd get on the phone early for anything you want for 12/10. With so few dates in December, I think prime spots (Like POFQ and POR) will go quickly.
