Top of the World Supper Club . Celebrity Performers there

Have an Aunt who claims she saw Sammy Davis Jr perform there back in the day. Is this correct? And if so , what other performers where there through the years.

We went years ago when I was a kid and there were celebrity performers. We saw Chita Rivera. A big deal to my parents but I had never heard of her. I think I was maybe early teens at the time.

we were at the California Grill in January. Our hostess was talking about performers back when the restaurant opened. I think it was called Top of the World then. She said there were many famous performers who performed there. One she mentioned was Julie Andrew’s

Way back when!! We saw Billy Eckstein when we went. This of course is where the California Grill stands today. I believe Mel Torme performed there--

We were staying at the CR back in the day. While we didn’t see her perform, we did bump into Dionne Warwick in the lobby at the end of her run ... almost literally. We turned the corner from the elevators and there she was! I was too young to really know her. My DM knew! But, Top of the World attracted many headline acts. I know Phyllis Diller performed there. It’s entirely possible that Sammy Davis Jnr did, too.
