Staying at BLT for 4 nights on DxDP. Never stayed here before as we usually have to gewt 2 beds which is too high onpoints for us at BLT. This time we are in a studio so are splashing out here.
My mum is really keen to see the fireworks from the TOTW lounge but I just don't know if its really worth the hassle and would like your opinons.

Pros- we are unlikely to stay at BLT again in the near future so may be only opportunity.
my mum really wants to do it. She's the member and she loves any member perk as she feels like she is able to give us something special. And I do appreciate my mommy!!!

cons- we are already in disney for 10 nights (AKL) previous to this stay so we will have seen wishes a couple of times in the park.
-we have a 7;20 adr on our last night at cali grill so will be seeing them from there- IS THE VIEW MUCH DIFFERENT FROM THESE 2 PLACES???
-We have had to book our citricos meal for 6;20 to give us enoughtime to enjoy our DxDP meal (3 courses) and get back. Even at this we are going to be a bit rushed I would think. We would otherwise be having an 8pm or 8;30 adr as this is the time we prefer to eat, so we are having to organise our whole evening around getting back for this.
-As its a bar is it going to be suitable to bring my DD 1 who will be asleep in her pushchair by then? is it more of an adult venue???

so what do you think we should do??
Stay with the current plan and watch Fworks from TOTWL or do we just veto it from our plans?
Those of you that have been, is it WORTH it????

Wow, if you're going to have viewed Wishes from both in the park and at California Grill during the same trip, I really think it sounds like you've got it covered. The fireworks view is very much the same from TOWL as from California Grill.

Here's what I'd recommend. Rather than forcing yourself to get to the TOWL lounge specifically to watch Wishes, just stop up there to check it out during one of the periods you'd planned to be in the building anyway. (Perhaps before or after heading to the pool one afternoon.) Or, as the TOWL lounge opens at 5:00, that would give you plenty of time to stop up there for a quick round of pre-dinner drinks before catching the monorail to the Grand Floridian for your evening Citricos reservation. Relax for a few minutes, check out the views, and take some photos. There are balconies on both sides of the building, so you can see MK (obviously) on the one side, and other parks in the distance from the other.

Mum still gets to tick off the box that she got you into the exclusive lounge, and you don't have to be in a mad rush to leave Citricos. (That's a restaurant where you really want to be able to sit back and enjoy the experience.)

thanks for the reply.
This was kinda what I was thinking.
A later reservation also means DD is likely to be asleep or if sh makes it through appetizers I cantake her for awalk andshewill nod off before the entrees. She is really goodin restaurants and enjoys it as much as a 1 year old can, but we are doing the character meals for her, the signatures are more for us.:thumbsup2
I have made all our signature reservations for 8pm or later with the idea that DD would be crashed out in her stroller for the majority of the evening after long days in the parks!
Thanks for your advice! and I do like the idea of pre dinner drinks! what a good excuse for a cocktail!!!:worship:
