Even though it has been noted here that the ToTW will be opened to DVC members who are not staying at BLT, MS is giving the opposite news to people who have asked. We need to know soon if we want to hold a Pre member cruise meet there on January 9. Two people have been told no since they were not staying at BLT, but at other DVC resorts on points.
What can we do?

Since it was announced at the association meeting by Disney executives along with the black out dates, it seems that MS hasn't been told yet or they didn't read the morning mail.

You can contact Member Satisfaction for verification if that would make you feel better and it may cause DVC to put the word out to the Advisor's.

• Disney Vacation Club is continuing to provide DVC Members access to Top of the World Lounge through 2013. July 3 & 4 and December 30 & 31 are excluded due to high occupancy. This is for DVC Members who are staying on property and must utilize WDW transportation as there is no onsite parking available.

You can park at TTC and take the monorail, or make a reservation at a restaurant at the contemporary prior to the fireworks and park there...... Same if you eat at a different monorail restaurant, such as kona cafe. Park at the poly, then take the monorail to blt.

dates, we would advise you to contact us back closer to your dates to
check for further updates. You may also wish to visit DVCMember.com.

You are allowed to have guests. Before DVCers from other resorts were allowed, I had 2 friends come up with me. I was staying at BLT in a studio, my 2 guests were staying at OKW. There wasn't any problem with that.

You can also take the bus to the MK and walk to the Contemporary from there and then head back there by monorail or walk and get on a bus back to the resort.

Thanks! I also sent a link to your post on the "Cruise Meets" board so other traveling Member Cruisers could see it. I'm guessing that's where we'll have the pre-cruise meet. I know that's where I want to have it!!!!

I'm sure they will make a separate announcement about the extension at some point. Until then, you have confirmation by way of the 'Resort Updates' in the Condo Association Meeting Highlights.

You could:
1. Take a bus to MK and then either walk over to BLT or take the monorail from MK to BLT. The only issue is that MK needs to be open for your return trip.
2. Trip to BLT same as above, trip back, Bus to Downtown Disney and then back to AK.
3. Take a bus to Downtown Disney and then to BLT. Return trip would be just the opposite.

I had forgotten that I have an ADR at Be Our Guest for the late afternoon. So, I'll have a car at the MK, so as long as I leave BLT in a timely manner after the fireworks, we'll be fine.
Right now, there's a vote as to where the meeting will be, ToTW (we think the issue is resolved, people will have access) or the lobby of the GF where there is plenty of seating.
I'm voting for ToTW!
