I need help I am getting started... can you name your top choices for a seven year old girl? I am trying to start out my itinerary and find this very overwhelming. We are just there for five nights. Thanks!

Depends on your daughter's tastes and the characters she likes.

My daughter was 7 on our last trip and here were her favorites:

Chef Mickey's breakfast--fun atmosphere, see the fab 5 characters, good variety of food, thinks it's fun that brownies are an option on the breakfast buffet (only at WDW, right?)

Akershus--loves the castle w/ the princesses, enjoyed the food as well (standard kids' meal found everywhere really) DH and I really enjoyed the food here

1900 Park Fare for dinner--the food was delicious!!! The character interaction was the best on property. The stepsisters are truly a riot!!! We LOVED this meal!

Ohanas--LOVED the delicious food. My daughter loved how they had coconut broom races, danced Hawaiian dances, and got leis to take home. The atmosphere was great for the entire family and the food was oh so yummy. My daughter is picky and didn't want the food served family style, but they offered to make her mac-n-cheese, hamburger, chicken strips, etc. at no additional charge so keep that in mind if you have a picky eater like mine.

Biergarten--good German buffet w/ plenty of kid food offerings as well (chicken, mac-n-cheese, etc.). There's a fun band that plays and a dance floor for the kids to get out and dance on too.

Good luck choosing your restaurants! No matter what you choose, she'll have a great time--after all, you'll be at WDW! :)

Crystal Palace - Winnie the Pooh characters

Sci-Fi - my DD loves it - very cool atmosphere

Let's see.. when dd was that age she loved 50's prime time for dinner, and Crystal Palace for breakfast. :)

Our kids were 7 on their first (and so far only) trip. When I asked them which was their favorite, most answered Crystal Palace breakfast. We made reservations before park opening and got to walk along a practically empty Main Street! Another favorite was the Hoop De Doo Revue.

One DS mentioned Kona Cafe but he is obsessed with the sweet bread :lmao:

My daughter is 7, and was on our last trip. In contrast to what other have said, we HATED Chef Mickey, the food was just awful. We liked the atmosphere of the Sci Fi, but the food was scarier than the movie trailers they show, and the fact that they set another party in your car with you if you are a table to 2 freaked us out.

Her favorites might surprise you. Our favorite meal was Tusker House breakfast. Ohana was a huge hit, she loved it for both breakfast and dinner. We both loved the Flying Fish and the California Grill. She preffered Akershus to Cinderella's Royal Table.

1900 Park Fare Breakfast (Alice, Mad Hatter, Pooh, Tigger, Mary Poppins)
1900 Park Fare Dinner (Cinderella, Prince Charming, Lady Tremaine, Druscilla & Anastasia)
O'Hana for Breakfast (Mickey, Pluto, Lilo & Stitch)
Chef Mickey's for Breakfast (Mickey, Minnie, Goofy, Donald & Pluto)
Akershaus for breakfast - the princesses change. Last trip we had Belle as the greeter, Snow White, Sleeping Beauty, Jasmine and Mulan. Other trips we've had Cinderella or Ariel.
Le Cellier
Coral Reef

I know you were looking for the top 7, but if you want to go with less character meals, my kids have always liked O'Hana for dinner, Biergarten (Germany), Rain Forest Cafe (not on the dining plan), and San Angel Inn (Mexico).

I have to agree with this. The last two times we went to CRT we were less than impressed and won't be going back. The food was ok to bad and we felt that we were being rushed out of there. I really don't think its worth the price (or the 2 ts credits if you're on the dining plan). We thought Akershaus and 1900 Park Fare for dinner were much better princess meals. The food was much better and the character interaction was great!

As a child I adored crystal palace for breakfast and chef mickeys for.dinner...I suggest them because as an adult I enjoy them just as much! Not gourmet food but alot of options plus with all the characters your daughter will be in heaven!

Let's see.. when dd was that age she loved 50's prime time for dinner, and Crystal Palace for breakfast. :)

I second both of these.
Crystal Palace is a must do for me for breakfast...I am 21 and I still love going to see the Winnie the Pooh characters, always a kid at heart :)
50s Prime Time is a fun atmosphere! Love going here as well.
Teppan Edo is great as well if she will like that. It is a show as well as dinner basically. We love hibachi table food :)

For character meals, we like 1900 Park Fare and Crystal Palace best. My DD7 enjoys eating at many of the Epcot World Showcase restaurants too, she loves (and so do we) the different atmospheres. She especially likes Tutto Italia. We enjoyed Biergarten too.

My now 9 yr old dd's favorites at 7 and still at 9 are-Sci-fi,breakfast at tusker house or chef mickey's,Kona,Artist point(loved the choc puzzle),Coral Reef(loves the fish tank)and Ohana. When she was smaller she liked 1900 park fare(she thought prince charming was her boyfriend because he kissed her hand!)but then we went back when she was seven and prince charming wasn't very exciting anymore!

DD was 9 and her fav's were:

Crystal Palace (we did b'fast, trying lunch next time)- Pooh Characters:lovestruc and good breakfast.

Chef Mickeys breakfast- she loved the Celebrations

O'Hana - picky eater, but she actually ate there and wants to go back.
