Top Chef All Stars starts 12/1/10! No ADVANCE Spoilers!

I was surprised Dale was one of the ones to go. I don't know what to think about Fabio. He is not doing well this season. He, Jen and Carla were my favorites going in.

I'm another Richard Blais fan. I hope he makes it all the way to the top!

Contrary to popular opinion, I wish Dale stayed and Fabio was sent home last night. I think Dale could have pulled it out and stayed for a while. I think Fabio's days are numbered... and not just because of Tony Bourdain.

On WWHL, last night, Tom said that he thought Tony's comments to Fabio on the first episode were out of line. While he understood from where he was coming, he was too harsh and personal in his attack.

I think that's why Fabio didn't go home. They didn't want it to look like Bourdain is gunning for him, and make it look like he was unfairly sent home.

I think Richard & Angelo will make it to the finals.

As for Tre, what attitude? He has the quiet personality of a rock. :confused3

A agree with all of this. :thumbsup2

That is exactly it. I like his personality.. his quiet confidence. He knows he is good.

What's up with Fabio this season? He doesn't seem to be doing as well as his previous season.

Tom was funny on Watch What Happens Live last night.

Stephen never bothered me. Sure, he was arrogant, annoying and in the weeds at times :lmao: (don't we all work with a Stephen? lol) but I don't ever recall him being mean spirited towards others, which is the thing that bothers me most about some of these people. I was a little sad to see him go.

I think Stephen is not really a chef but he would make a GREAT restauranteur (Holy cow, his front of the house skills are amazing) and he also would be a good food critic...as least as good as *Gail* is - if not *better* (gack, but that woman has such a nasty, mincing way of saying things sometimes...).

agnes!

That may well be what he gravitates towards (or something else along those lines), if he hasn't already. He did mention last night he's not cooking much anymore. He's still fairly young IIR.

I agree with you about Stephen. Even in his first appearance on the series he wasn't showing much skill as a chef, his strong suit is definitely being a somelier, I would love to ask him for advice or talk about wine with him any day.. or maybe he is well suited to be as you said, a food critique. The man does have fantastic taste, just his execution is not all there. He really should have been let go last week. Good luck to him though!

What is everyone's opinion on Spike? I really like Spike this season, I did in his Chicago appearance but this time around he seems more confident, more how he was at the beginning of his season.

The players this year are spectacular, but as you know if you've been reading me, I love Blais and want him to win.

Go Blais!! :)

Casey and Angelo are my favorites... last season, Angelo drove me on a rollercoaster ride where at times I really liked him, and other times I wanted to slug him. He seems to have toned it down a little bit and I think he's the best all-around chef on the show.

I wish there was a way they could do the finale without knowing who cooked what. I think that would be really interesting.

I also think it might be fun to have a show where the first-booted of each season was on. Probably have to wait a while for that, since there haven't been that many seasons.

I am currently watching season two and I do not see what Marcel did to piss everyone off. I think part of it had to do with immaturity, which I am noticing this season in that I think he has matured.

Also I think the contestants of season two contributed to some of Marcel's tactics. I read that they wanted to eliminate everyone after the shaving the head incident. I think that was mean and grossly inappropriate. Would you have respect for people that did that to you?

I'm quite sure there is a great deal more to the picture than we get to see in the edited show. They had to live together for a while. Me, I don't need to see any more than his pompous arrogance and self-importance to put him on my "can't stand" list.
I think he's matured, a little. But he hasn't learned much about the value of humility. The other chefs are good and great, the Masters were all GREAT and look how most of them handled themselves. With class and flair. I don't know if Marcel will ever get a grip on that w/o having his block knocked off. :confused3 That's my opinion anyway. I have zero tolerance for arrogance and self-importance.

You could have said exactly the same thing for Mike Isabella. He seems to have slightly toned down this season. But, that could just because they haven't shown many interview clips of him yet. I always thought he was a big old empty windbag.

We recently went to Bryan Voltaggio's restaurant in Maryland and it was INCREDIBLE! His food was exactly like what it seemed to be on the show.

It's actually nice to see some emotion out of Tre tonight. :thumbsup2

The reactions of the chefs when they win are so funny! :rotfl2:

Jamie is just passive aggressive. :sad2: After her need to go to the hospital two weeks ago, so she couldn't be judged, then tonight, AGAIN. . . :sad2:

Jaimie has her head stuck in the ground...can't avoid cooking on a COOKING show. Ugh.
