Top Chef All Stars starts 12/1/10! No ADVANCE Spoilers!

   Holy cow! I never expected that person.

They should have made the person who cut their finger go home. That chef contributed NOTHING. I think it was actually a ploy. "Sorry I have to leave to get stitches. can't be judged this round."

OR, the one who reduced & over-salted the sauce should have gone. :sad2:
I'd have to put the raw fritattas in the running too. Lots of choices there.

But didn't mind seeing that person go whatsoever.

The finger thing was ridiculous. Loved the other chefs' reactions upon return: "Just two?" :rotfl2:

I did think it was weird that she so easily went to the hospital.

I'm glad that Jen is gone. She had such a bad attitude and was so snarky and unpleasant that I was not looking forward to watching her the rest of the season. I was surprised that Tre didn't go for his oversalted sauce, but I think that Jen's undercooked eggs were a bigger problem.

Maybe this means that they can bring Chef Ripert back now :cool1:.

If we could only get so lucky. I have a love/hate with Athony. But with him on this show, it's always leans to the hate side. He just a complete jackwagon to the chefs.

I didn't mind Jen at all during her season, but after the way she acted last night I was glad to see her go. She acted like a a spoiled little brat.

I kind of get why they didn't send Jamie home for not being there, she really didn't do anything wrong, but she didn't do anything right either.

I was really hoping to see the "old" Jen, too. I wonder if she still harbors some deep resentment over losing her season. The fact that she came ready to battle with the judges, and the fact that the other Voltaggio brother declined the opportunity to even come back to the show, to me, speaks volumes about how their season ended. To me it is still one of the worse finales of the whole series.

I really thought Jamie was going to leave also. I thought the other chefs were a little harsh, though. The medic said she needed stitches. Maybe it's just me, but I'm always going to listen to the medic. That being said, if she only needed 2 stitches, how in the world didn't the on-site medical team from Bravo have the necessary equipment? At the very least they could have used those sticky skin strips if it wasn't that bad. :confused3

I'm willing to cut Jamie some slack on her injury. It sucks that Jen had to do everything herself but that's the way the cookie crumbles. I'm just glad she's gone because she was on my nerves last week too.

I thought Jenns attitude was poor (to say the least) and it seemed to me like she was thinking of herself as a "master". I felt the Masters (mostly) had FAR more class and decorum than she showed so wrong, Jenn, you showed immense disrespect, and a "master" you are not.

I think the person that was told to "pack their knives" last night, deserved to go home ... she/he was arrogant, had an attitude and her/his dish was bad (allegedly, doesn't anybody else wish we could taste test the dishes for ourselves ;) ... anyhoo, I really didn't think she/he showed any professionalism either last night to be called the ultimate "Top Chef" ... :)

No...the worst finale was Hosea winning and Kevin winning last season.

What was wrong with Jen's season? I was totally on board with Voltaggio winning.

After the way Jen acted last night I was happy to see her grow. She was on of my favs during her season but last night she irked me. Her yelling back at the judges seemed so out of character.

I liked Jen a lot in her season, but I'm glad she's gone after last night too, especially since I was worried they were going to eliminate Tre, and I did not want to see him go. And I think she was incredibly rude and disrespectful to the judges.

Because they were erring on the side of conservatism. If they taped her and something happened that caused an infection or she lost feeling in her finger, etc., they might have been sued.

I can't blame them for NOT taking the easy way out.

Except the wrong one won.
On a personal level, I liked Brian a LOT more than Michael and I liked Kevin the best.
But as far as winning Top Chef, I thought it was a toss-up. All 3 of them were incredible chefs who were deserving of the title.

The other Kevin winning last season winning was definitely a bad ending. He was not nearly as strong overall as Angelo, even though Angelo is annoying.

I was really shocked by last night's episode. I think she really did have a bad dish and for some reason, just couldn't accept that. At least one of the other chef's also criticized her dish after tasting it, saying it tasted like wet bacon. Yuck!

I don't agree with that. I adored both brothers (Brian more, since he was less of a tool), but I was totally okay with MIke (was that his name?) winning. He was a strong chef.

As someone who didn't watch Jen's season, can someone give me the Cliff Notes on it.

Thanks!!

She started off really strong and kind of fell apart towards the end. From the beginning of the season, I think everyone thought she was a front runner for the title, along with Kevin, and the two Voltaggio brothers.
