Top Chef All Stars starts 12/1/10! No ADVANCE Spoilers!

See, I'm not convinced that Angelo is trying to sabotage. I really think he thinks he's helping. They brought that up in the reunion show last season.

I don't think that he is. I think he thinks he is helping but ultimately it is the other chef's dish and they should tell him they have it covered.

I agree. I really think he thinks he's helping, and I'm sure, possibly more often than we've seen, he has. But of course, we get to see the f-ups.
Angelo, a "mermaid/siren of the sea". :lmao: Man, Dale had some GREAT ones this episode! Marcel being a bobble-head. BWAH HA HA HA!!!!

I love my DVR. I'm watching it again a few times today. Carla holding the "rod" and then her little smile was HILARIOUS!

..If this is how Anthony Bourdain openly, publicly and deliberately thinks up things to say to the chefs on the show, can you imagine how he used to talk to his waiters back of house, if they did something wrong? He delights in putting down people he has power over. People like him feel since they are paying underlings, they have paid for the RIGHT to treat them like scum and with contempt.

I was SOOOOOO happy that episode Fabio stuck up for himself :thumbsup2, saying Bourdain can criticize his food, but Bourdain deliberately made it personal and attacked Fabio. A waiter, dependent on a paycheck, can't do that, can't simply walk away from that paycheck, unless he has the self esteem to know he deserves be treated with respect. That his job as a waiter, a dishwasher, a runner, does not define who he is or his station in life. Unfortunately, some only walk when they have the knowledge they can get a job at a different restaurant.

Maybe, Bourdain walked away from his restaurant when he did because he knew he might get knifed in the back in his own kitchen if he stayed any longer. Yes, Marcel had better watch out, too. :p

last night I revisited that episode with Tony Bourdain acting like a twit. I saw he was back on the next episode and lamented it to my husband. I like HIS show because his personality doesn't flame quite like that-not the right format for it. But that show when he delivered personal attacks twice at Fabio, it made we wonder if Fabio had history with him. It was unprofessional on Bourdain's part. Fabio did a great job of fairly calmly saying 'back off.'

What's with Fabio cutting his hand during this show? He did that during his finale, too. Ouch!

Ten left! Man, such strong chefs are left. This is AWESOME to watch! Honestly, unlike other seasons, I don't see a real weak link and that's not to say I'm fond of everyone nor that some aren't better than others. AWESOME season!

I can't stand Tiffany's voice. It's so fake and high up in the stratosphere. It sounds like nails on a chalkboard.

Now I remember why I didn't like Mike Isabella in his season. How dare he talk about Marcel being a "timebomb". His behavior was horrible. LOVE, Richard, Fabio, Carla and Trey!

Good strategy on Dale's part, choosing Marcel to head the other team. :thumbsup2

WHOA! I didn't think that would be the outcome.

I would have loved to have tasted Fabio's Italian cheesecake. It sounded awesome.

Doesn't Fabio just look like one of those bosses you would WANT to have? :goodvibes
He and Blaise as best buds is so endearing. I'd LOVE to see what those 2 "cook up" :rolleyes1 in the future. :lovestruc

Yay for the winning restaurant! And Thank GOD for that outcome at the end. I've had enough of the shenanigans.

OMG, I love those two. They are two genuinely nice men and I hope whatever they touch turns to gold!:goodvibes

He was like that with Stefan, during his season. Back then, they made it seem like the two European chefs stuff together. After their season ended, they actually did hang out together, as both of them lived close enough to each other near L.A.

But, I think whoever he really gets along with, they know he has their back, and likewise they have his. I said a few days ago that if Richard helped him cook his meal, he'd be fine. :thumbsup2

I loved the way he stood up for his servers. That's the difference I was talking about earlier between him and a Bourdain type - or how Dale was just yelling at the waiters earlier. A great captain or Front of House person can make all the difference in the waiters' attitudes and making work a pleasant experience for all :thumbsup2, or a real nightmare.

That's a REAL true leader. You don't need to be mean, abusive or demeaning to get the most out of your staff. Treat them w/ respect and outline your expectations and you'll reap rewards. I also LOVE Fabio's touchy-feely way of being. Some people don't like that but it's SO Italian and caring. I think if had had touched MY face like he did the one server, I would have um, gone limp as a wet noodle. :lovestruc
I'm watching it again. I can't get enough. This show alone is worth the DVR service!

The Foam Man is Gone!!!

Had to laugh at Marceil's exiting comments - how he wouldn't do anything different...and his food was good - even though the judges didn't like the desert or his foam again

I hope Dale goes soon...he's just so mean...I'm surprised he's lasted this long and done so well...

Well, hello Chef Ludo Lefebvre.
:yay::yay::yay:
I can't stand Tiffany's voice. It's so fake and high up in the stratosphere. It sounds like nails on a chalkboard.
Only when she's trying too hard. Otherwise, I like her.

How about how Marcel thought it was an honor to be chosen as the other team lead? I'd have loved to be a fly on the wall when he got to see Dale's real strategy, especially in light of the end result of Dale's decision.

I, for one, was very happy with the outcome.

Oh, and how about Fabio admitting that for front-of-the-house service, he turns up his accent to please the crowd? :cool1:

It was good last night- glad he went home. I don't know what was up with my boy Angelo. He looked embarrassed at judges table and actually at their restaurant. I love Tiffany, but that voice was annoying. LOL
