Top 3 favorite disney moments / things to do in park--not rides or characters :)

At HS walking around the back lot and searching for the Singing in the rain umbrella. Going to the book store and having a cup of tea and a cookie. Eating at Brown Derby.

Adding these, thanks! I was trying to decide if Brown Derby would be worth the cost. Sounds so great.

It's a real challenge to limit to 3! I might reply again with another 3. :D

Animation Academy at HS
Swimming with the kids at night after leaving the parks, (with an adult beverage of course. ;) )
Cape Mays Cafe is a must do ADR (partly for the food, and partly for the beautiful area around the beach and yacht club)

My top 20 things are rides and shows, but #21 is Take a mid-day break from MK with a Monorail ride around to the different resorts. The EPCOT ride is cool because its so long.

Absolutely, hands down....Yeehaw Bob at Port Orleans Riverside. He plays Wed-Sat nights. Absolutely fabulous! We aren't staying at the Port this year, but plan to take a bus over to see him anyway...

  1. Take ferry to MK, especially from FW, but TTC is not bad either
  2. During DHS PM EMH, when most people are not hanging out in Streets of America, take fun photos based on the various backgrounds
  3. Find an out of the way spot in any of the parks, maybe with a snack, and just relax for about 15-20 minutes and soak in where you are or people watch [Favorites: MK: benches to the left walking from Main Street to HM towards the end of AM EMH; Epcot - wall to the back of France behind the fountains (Good for watching character greets with Aurora); AK - Bench on the walkway directly behind the Tree of Life (did not see anyone for 10 minutes); DHS - Streets of America during EMH PM]
These are my favorite ones I either do frequently (1 &3) or want to do again (2) and that I can have control over. There are other favorites, but many are not really ones that can be recreated in the same way.

Epcot FW music - as you walk up to SE
POR bus music
The smell of the food cooking in The Land
The singing lessons on MS
When the trash cans blow bubbles pre RD at MK
When they draw pictures on the streets with water
All the CMs with Mickey Gloves waving when you leave Epcot at night
Waiting for Illuminations with my snack by the WSL - the anticipation of that show is as good as the show for me.
Watching the monorail go in & out of the Contemporary & taking bets on which color is coming next
The first. & last Mickeys Premium of the trip

I like to walk around the World Showcase, and I enjoy sitting at the Trout Pass Bar.:rolleyes1:rolleyes1

When my boys were little, two of our must do's were in EP:

Play with the jumping fountains over by Imagination until someone gets wet
Stop to watch the "fireworks" in the concrete tiles at night by Innoventions.

These are probably our 2 favorite things also. I like to "smack" the little balls of water at my kids. They love it. My son could jump around on those light up tiles all night.

I also absolutely LOVE the beginning of Illuminations when the narrator blows out the lights. gives me chills every time.

1. Shopping. DTD is my favorite, but the Epcot shops, especially the Japan pavilion, are pretty fun, too.
2. Every single trip to Epcot we have lunch in Sunshine Seasons, dinner in one of the countries
3. This was new for us this last trip, but we easily found a curb sport on main street to await the second, 11pm parade (park closing at 11). don't know why, but I thoroughly enjoyed sitting on the curb and watching the people stream out of the park. It was like a whole ' other parade!

1. Grand Floridian Afternoon tea (a couple of hours to just relax and listen to the music)
2. Dole Whip at Pineapple Lanai at the Poly!
3. Pixie dust at Sir Mickeys or Castle Couture
4. Basin White at the Grand Floridian

1. Voices of Liberty at the America pavilion in Epcot, followed closely by Dapper Dans, Main Street Orchestra, and Siegrid and Jullenissen at Christmas.
2. Candlelight Processional at Christmas.
3. Renting boats at DTD
4. Segway tour (though our favorite in WS is not offered anymore)
5. HDDR followed by Wishes from FW beach

Sorry, I couldn't limit to just three.

1. The fanfare that plays on the bus when you;re approaching the Magic Kingdom.
2. Dole Whip/Citrus Swirl.
3. Seeing Spaceship Earth peek over the trees when you;re on your way to the resort.

I love all of these! It is reminding me to SLOW DOWN the next time I am there and soak it in.

I love:
doing sit down restaurants and getting out of the craziness for a bit to recharge
Sorcerers cards and game
Animation studio

At AK, we love looking at all of the carvings in the roots of the Tree of Life -- walk on the trails to get right up close to them. At Epcot, we always have to try the sodas at Club Cool. At MK, it used to be Cinderella's wishing well on the right side of the castle but I'm not sure if it's still there with all of the new construction over there. A second choice for MK would then be that wet marble spinning globe thing in Tomorrowland near the entrance to the Peoplemover -- my boys love pushing it around. Not in the parks, but on the way there, they love to ask for transportation cards -- they're trying to collect the entire set!

Edited to add: I almost forgot I have to add a second one for MK -- we love trying to catch one of the old vehicles up Main Street first thing in the morning. We've ridden the trolley and the double decker bus. Still trying to get the fire truck some day!

On my last trip, I discovered One Man's Dream at DHS. It's a sort of museum about Walt Disney's life. I found it fascinating and would have spent much more time there if my friend hadn't gotten antsy.

I also love the lazy river at Typhoon Lagoon. Have spent hours just floating around in circles!

1) Sit on my balcony and hear the noises from MK.
2) Ride the monorail
3) walk down Main Street at night during in the Christmas season.

What are transportation cards? :magnify:

1. tasting soda at Club Cool
2. delicious grapefruit beer in Germany
3. pin-trading and trying to time it right for pin boards at DTD and Mousegears
4. taking pictures in all of the hats around world showcase and the gift shops...makes a great photo collage!

Here are my three:
1. At DHS, I always do the Animation Academy every chance I get.
2. At Epcot, I always grab a snack or a meal in Norway, so I can cool off and rest in the shaded eating area behind the bakery. Great for People watching, too.
3. Also at Epcot, I always get a large henna tattoo in Morocco towards the end of my trip. That way, I have a "souvenir" that lasts for a week or more, and I see it every day after I'm home.
