We will have a car this trip so no restrictions! What are your favorite signature restaurants for 2 adults who will eat anything? Bonus points for restaurants with great atmosphere. A few years ago we are at Jiko and they sat us in a back room that was removed from everything and very plain. It really ruined the experience for us. Please share your top 2, Jiko included :)

1.) Victoria & Albert (requires jacket for gentlemen)......and then everything else.......

2.) BlueZoo (Dolphin) for seafood. One main dining room.
3.) Capa (Four Seasons) for tapas. I recall two dining rooms, both have a 17th floor view towards Magic Kingdom (in the distance).

None of these places are part of Disney Dining, therefore, there will be fewer children.

Honorable Mention: Tiffins - only if you book a River of Lights Dining Package.

We LOVE Narcoossees and Cali Grill. We always book a late dinner 7:30ish to stay for fireworks.
We also recently had the brunch at Cali Grill- it was awesome!!! I think both of these have a great atmosphere.
We have done V&A once for our anniversary. It's a great experience for a special occasion.

Ours would be

Yachtsman- love the Steaks and my favorite dish in all WDW is the Truffles and Cheese side order.
Artist Point- Probably the quietest, most adult of the Disney Dining Signatures that take the Deluxe plan.
Boathouse- A Gibson's restaurant. Looking forward to my first full meal there in about two weeks and three days and two hours and twenty three minutes.

We have better Steak houses all around (Shula's and Gibson's in Chicago, Harry and Izzy's/St. Elmo's in Indy) but none of them have the benefit of being inside Disney.

Narcoossee's and Boathouse. Heard great things about the new Flying Fish in terms of both food quality and atmosphere.

resort-Artist Point, Yachtsman
park-Tiffins, Hollywood Brown Derby
brunch-California Grill

We love Tiffins, and though not a "signature" restaurant we also loved dinner at Sanaa in Kadani Village. Sanaa is probably the best "bang for your buck" place on site. It also offers a view of the Savannah and has great decor.

I just wanted to say that this can happen anywhere: you have to be prepared to immediately say, 'sorry, but I really don't want to sit here'. It can be a table by the kitchen, by a bathroom door, in a small room, by a too-sunny window, etc. I go out to eat a lot and I always speak up if I do not like my table location. I totally agree that it can ruin an otherwise nice meal.

I'm desperately trying to get a reservation for a certain date but I doubt it's going to happen. I was considering Artist's Point as an alternative (as we're planning to be in the MK area for that night). Would many people recommend it? What's the atmosphere like?

Our favorite is California Grill. We always try to book 90 minutes or so before MK fireworks so we can watch from up there!

Top 2- Flying Fish & Jiko- they tried to put me in that little room too, but I immediately said no and got an open table right next to the window.

Bull and Bear
Il Mulino

If it has to be Disney Signature aka dining plan type restaurants
Citricos
Boathouse

AP is lovely.....Cedar Plank-cooked Salmon is the mainstay on their menu.

Makes sense on MK day.

Transportation includes a charming boat ride.

Citrico's at Grand Floridian is a similar vibe, albeit, in a marginally more 'posh' environment (with a live jazz band in the late afternoon/early evening).

Artist Point is amazing. We eat there nearly every trip, and it's so nice to boat over to MK after dinner for fireworks or evening fun.

DH and I love Artist Point. It's beautiful once the sun starts to go down.

My two picks for best signatures would be Jiko and California Grill with Artist Point as an honorable mention.

Love Artist Poimt. Always ask for the main room...will not sit in the area closest to the checkin desk.

Raglan road..ask for main room and have to wait for a table even with a reservation but it's worth it.

Cali grill...ask for and wait for window table.

Narcoosees..same as above.

My husband is better at it than me, but we often turn down tables.

Based on original post.... You said BEST:

1) Victoria and Albert's -GF
2) Shula's - Dolphin
3 California Grill - Contemporary.

I have shown THREE, because V&A will likely set a couple back about 6-7 Hundred. This is FAR more than a WDW Sig.

Others? About $100 to $150 a plate. We love every one of them :).

If we're taking V&A off the list, as isn't signature, here's my list:

1) Bluezoo
2) Hemingways (Hyatt Regency Grand Cypress) - its VERY close by, basically around the corner from the Disney Springs hotels and VERY quiet
3) Bull and Bear (Waldorf)
4) Flying Fish/California Grill/Monsiuer Paul

Cali Grill for a wide selection of food at great quality (our last meal there was our favorite ever) with a magical atmosphere if you are seated anywhere near a MK view (we had a great view of the castle and space mountain at night). Watching the fireworks on the terrace a bit after our meal was fantastic.

Artist's Point is beautiful, calm and relaxing (when we went), and the food was excellent. The service was the best we've had at WDW ever.

I haven't been, but my family members love Citrico's as well.

Still, if I had to choose two signatures for my next trip it would be: Cali Grill for a monorail experience and Monsieur Paul at Epcot...we haven't been there, but it is supposed to be one of those fantastic 'hidden gems' that might not stay hidden for too long!
