Top 10 Signs You Are Addicted to Disney aka You Know You Need Help When...

when you can spell EEYORE!
:thumbsup2

A few Ive noticed:

I listen to beachboys albums doing my work, close my eyes and pretend im in typhoon lagoon.

Constantly price up my meals in disneys restaurants

Have packed to go, even though ive 35 days left

Researching sun tan lotion on ebay

I watched the "Disney Wedding Special" on WEtv and now I'm trying to convince my dd(she's only 15!) to get married there...:rotfl2:

My friend from work is going in June and does not talk incessantly about her trip, and I can't understand why!! I am making them take a "flat me" so at least I'll be in the pics...

I love Tink and Eeyore the best (and yes, I am a hormonal depressed woman haha!)...

We got hamsters and named them Minnie and Tinkerbell...

I wear my Tinkerbell (2006 trip) sweatshirt constantly...

And I also am trying to convince my husband to retire to Florida so we can work in WDW....

It is really nice to know that I am not alone!:upsidedow You can tell by my signature that I am proud to be addicted.:goodvibes

You know you are addicted to Disney When:

- You convince your boss that the annual sales meeting needs to be in Orlando.:rolleyes1

- A co-worker went to WDW and before the trip you ask what resort they are staying at and they don't remember and you audibly GASP.:scared1:

- The same co-worker went to WDW and wasn't that excited about the trip just days before leaving. You secretly harbor a dislike for this person even though they are perfectly nice.:scared:

- You will deal with an annual trip with your in-laws just to get your fix.

- You've watched the Travel Channel Disney Specials so much that you know it by heart and can quote it.:woohoo:

If this is a sickness, I never want a cure to be found. :yay:

I guess when you are amazed, (if not slightly miffed), at people who are going to Disney and don't talk about it or plan it excessively, and another one that hit the nail on the head was getting a bit depressed as you get close to your vacation (thats me!! 9 days away:woohoo: ) because you know that soon it will be over....

Oh and then there is the pricing a WDW vacation when you aren't even planning one...yep, done that too!!

Thank goodness I have another trip already in the works  or I could be severely depressed in about 3 weeks!!

Ok...I'll divulge the information...

My List

1. You hear Big Band music and Instantly start thinking about standing outside Casey's in the MK.

2. Go to Disneyworld.com every day and price out a Top of the line trip just to have some idea of what level of cash I would need at any given moment to take a dream vacation. (Yesterday was 10 days in the Royal Palm level of the GF...with the Platinum dining package...add Wine and Dine...for 4...$7000...including airfare. The day before that was the Poly with the same accoutriments...$7400)

3. Use your photographic memeory as a storage receptacle for hidden Micky locations (My wife accused me of wasting my brain storage capacity)

4. All of your Friends call in order to get the best disney info...Hell...I point them here

My name is Explodo...and I have a disney problem.

When I refuse to Drink Coke Product outside of Disney

Im a pepsi Girl
So while at the Movies with my kids, I took a sip of their soda and I was in the Magic Kingdom, with the flavor.

When I skrimp and save all year long and are too cheap to do anything, but when my sisters asks me to upgrade to a Moderate and stay a extra 2 days, I book it before she leaves my house.

When I go to work at night, and take care of my residents with 1 earphone in my ear and Im listening to Parades while taking care of them..

When I talk more about Disney than my 2 kids and my 2 neices that we go with every year, combined...:grouphug:

How about this...When asked by my DH what was the date of our Wedding around two months after the fact...I confused our Wedding date with the Happiest day of my life... two days after the wedding...which was my first day at Disney Ever and meeting Mickey Mouse. "Oops, my bad. I Love you Honey!!"

Oh, and crying more when meeting Mickey Mouse than when I was getting married two days previous.

Yea, I think I have a problem.

Goodness. Are you guys watching me????????:rotfl:

Lol. This thread is my life in a nutshell.

#????--Even though you have no trips planned, every time you go shopping, you ask yourself "Can I wear this in Florida?"

Where did you get your ringtones? And where did you get the countdown nametag? I just can't get enough disney. 31 Days until our trip to BCV and grandopening of AK just one night there out of 10.

Have a Magical Day!

You really need to be A Disney Vacation Club Member. We love it and we always stay where we want on property, and when we want. When we arrive they say "WELCOME HOME" sometimes I really feel like they mean it.

Have a Magical Day!

I watched the "Disney Wedding Special" on WEtv and now I'm trying to convince my dd(she's only 15!) to get married there...:rotfl2:

This was me, too, except my dd is only 10!!!:rotfl2:

Another addicted sign:
I went to Disney on ice last night with my 2 DD's. I am so into it, but getting angry at the people next to me. I swear they got up 6 times during the show!
All I could think is- you are obstructing my view of The Incredible's, how inconsiderate.:rotfl:

There are so many other signs I am exhibiting, but I think you guys have covered them all.:thumbsup2

WOW! :lmao: My DH is so ready to leave so I will stop worrying about the trip. I made final payment for our resort. He already bought our tickets from the ITT here on Fort Stewart. Now it is like hurry up and wait. It is making me sick. What else can I do??? When I am at work I am telling people how much longer I have to leave. When I get a break I am here on Disboard. HELP! I am addicted!:rotfl:

I love the fact I'm not alone in this :)

My normal day, I drive to work listening to Podcasts, laughing along with the Podcast crew, oh how I want to be in that peanut gallery.

Lunchtime, I'm checking all the sites searching forums, menus, activities, tours, resorts, weather, shopping. Updating my plan so that I know what we are doing hour by hour.

Come home and tell DH , DS & DH
- what Theresa, Kevin & Pete said today (I just love their voices)
- get really excited to tell them news, trivia, gossip, reviews etc
- what I have added to our holiday plan

I dream of being there, I think about what I am going to do, in my mind I can visualise, smell, taste and feel the magic.

Oh well, only 94 sleeps to go, I better get packing.

I don't understand people who can only go once or don't get it, we all have a bond that can never be broken, we're like family :grouphug:

Maybe we should all be locked up somewhere to recover : ) like Cinderella's Castle for instance. :rotfl2:

Have a magical day :)

LOVE IT!!!!:rotfl::rotfl::thumbsup2:lmao:

Yes, but if they sent us all to Cinderelle's castle they would have to shut it down. Because there would be so many of us there. LOL :rotfl: I really think there should be a support group for people like us. :thumbsup2 I would join! I think I am going to start packing this weekend!:dance3:

Speaking of which, and this is for the Cast Members who may be reading about my sickness: Does it take away any of the magic when you work there? Would it be any less magical if I could go there everyday? Which is what I dream of? But would I love Disney less if I worked there? QUOTE]

I think this depends on your situation and what area of the park you work in! I was a College Program kid back in 2004, and had the opportunity to work attraction operations at Test Track for several months. I will say that I had a fantastic time and it was definitely "magical" for me, but folks who have worked there longer may have a different opinion. I was in it to have fun and spend my last semester of college (certainly not for the paycheck!) so I had a great time. I will say getting to close the park down every night at 9pm and listening/watching the tail end of Illuminations from the bridge near Mexico every night was magical for me- I still get misty-eyed when I hear that music! I imagine those who work in the MK probably also have a different perspective, as opposed to EPCOT, which has a different kind of "magic." Anyone else, thoughts?

I feel so much better knowing I am not alone! I swear my husband is ready to commit me! I had a dream that I wasn't finished packing for my trip and had to take a later flight....and b/c of it missed my Chef Mickey's reservation! I haven't even gone yet and I'm already thinking about when I can go again!

That one is right on the money! How about:

13. You book your "perfect" resort, then second-guess yourself for several sleepless nights because you're not sure you made the right choice. (This is so me right now...just changed my January resort for the 3rd time today...):scared1:

and

14. You occasionally hop onto Disney's site and price vacations, even when you're not really planning a trip.

and

15. You occasionally price airfare to Orlando in the hopes of finding a really low fare that would be reason enough for another trip to WDW.

You are soooo not alone...it is a sickness! But one I enjoy! :rotfl:

I totally agree with everything!! Other people just dont get it, I agonize every day over the choices and the trip. I can totally feel you on #13, I do that all the time and #14 too!! WOW, there are other crazy Disney fans like me!!! And we live 2 hours away and I still get excited about it like its my 1st time!!:mickeyjum
