Top 10 Signs You Are Addicted to Disney aka You Know You Need Help When...

OMG I am not alone! I can relate to everything that everyone has posted. We have four cats named Oliver, Nemo, Daisy, and Tigger. We live in Indiana but have annual passes and visited the world 5 times in 2008. I have a Christmas tree just for my disney ornaments, am always planning our next trip (come on March 28!), and I spend way too much time checking airfare and room rates! I don't want to live too close to disney because then I won't have an excuse to stay on property! Yep, I am a disney addict but I can live with that! :rotfl:

I see hidden mickey's EVERYWHERE in my daily life, and I always say (outloud) a hidden mickey!!!!! :mickeyjum

Love these posts! How can anyone think this is not normal?

1a. You have a nightmare that you're at Disney, but either don't have enough time to try all the restaurants, or the ones you really want disappear just as you get there.
1b. You have a nightmare that you're at Disney, but run short of time and can only pause by each attraction.
3a. You realize once a day is not often enough to check the DisBoards.
7a A patch job on the roof IS just as good as replacing it.
9a. You wonder why people think what you feel is truly normal is
.........
14a. You regularly hop to Disney's site to price vacations..for the about same dates you currently have reserved, and with little differences here and there.

15a. You regularly price airfare to Orlando even tho you already have your tickets paid for.

105. You try to convince the dog that he doesn't need a walk as much as you need to check the DisBoards.

:rotfl2: :rotfl2: :thumbsup2 I do that. Almost as often as my 6 year old DD does it. She sees them everywhere! I get the eye rolling from my extended family A LOT!

Oh, I also check trips/airfare ALL THE TIME!!

Sounds like me and my 17 (soon to be 18) DD. We drive the rest of DF crazy with all the hidden Mickeys we see.

As for checking the trips all the time, Disney.com/parks is my home page!

Even car license plates remind you of Disney. I've seen DTD and AKV and the first thing that jumps into my mind is "Downtown Disney" or "Animal Kingdom Villas." I know, I'm not well![/QUOTE]

ok so im not the only one that does this~!

You randomly text your mom and tell her your at such and such meeting place in Disney that you always meet at just so you can have that feeling of really being there!~

Your on this board while your at work (Guilty as charged, but it's ok~!)

Your so broke but are willing to live off of bread and water so you can go back to Disney in May! (Guilty as charged, well I eat more than that but you get my drift!)

Whew! I thought I was losing it! I'm thinking about Disney every day and can't wait to go back down in September. I even started looking for jobs down there! From being on the forums to planning the next trip to already packing for my September trip, we can't wait to go back down! We've already decided that if we ever hit Powerball we're going to live onsite forever!!!!!! I would love to work in Epcot as a cast member helping people, answering questions, etc.. I collect pictures of WDW from those that are posted on the 'net and I bet I've got over 5000 by now! Oh well, maybe we'll hit the lottery this weekend!:thumbsup2

That sounds like a great plan. I definitely plan to work there after I retire, whether I need the money or not. Good luck with the Powerball...

Trying to weazle in on a friends trip one month after your own trip because your convinced they can't possibly show their kids WDW like you can...just slightly addicted.......but loving it! oh yeah I have a few too many guide books also.....

That one is right on the money! How about:

13. You book your "perfect" resort, then second-guess yourself for several sleepless nights because you're not sure you made the right choice. (This is so me right now...just changed my January resort for the 3rd time today...):scared1:

and

14. You occasionally hop onto Disney's site and price vacations, even when you're not really planning a trip.

and

15. You occasionally price airfare to Orlando in the hopes of finding a really low fare that would be reason enough for another trip to WDW.

You are soooo not alone...it is a sickness! But one I enjoy! :rotfl:

Hmmm... occasionally:confused3 it's more like once a week for me:laughing: Oh well, there could be worse obsessions.;)

I'm truly sick and in need of medical attention.

#???: you get a phone call that your husband near drowned after his boat capsized and was rescued out of the frigid winter waters in New England lucky to be alove. On your way to the hospital to see him you utter the words "I hope this doesn't interfere with my upcoming trip to Disney". What a horrid woman I am!!!! :scared1: It wouldn't have been so bad if I just kept the thoughts in my head, but I said it OUT LOUD to my DD7.

This soooo sounds like me. I"m constantly worrying about something that could happen to keep us from going to Disney. I tell my kids CONSTANTLY for about a month before we leave that they have to be super super careful not to get hurt, and I tell them they're not allowed to get sick :)

This will be our first trip to Disney World and ever since we decided to go (only in late Jan), it's all I can think about. Laundry?? Who cares? I've already put together the most type A binder you could imagine and have ready the UG from cover to cover. I'm already an addict and haven't even been there yet. :cool1:

Ahh, it feels great to be in such good company. Although, I think being on the DIS is only feeding my addiction. Take right now, for instance: I am at work--shhh. I should be getting some info together from QuickBooks, but that would require me to close, or at worst, minimize this screen, and i j.u.s.t. c.a.n.n.o.t. d.o. t.h.a.t. yet.

Plus, it only gets worse with each trip.

--to add:

When your extended family has stopped saying "Disney again? Boy, you guys must like that place" And instead just asks when you are going.

This is too funny - it is fun knowing I am not alone
Here is one - my kids and I always looking for Mickey years everywhere we go - we just love it. :cool1: :cool1: :cool1: :cool1: :cool1:

Even my answering machine says "Have a Magical Day" My cell phone wallpaper is Beach Club and my ringtone is the monorail "Please stand clear of the doors" then in spanish. I need a Disney Pill for this disease. 36 Days until our next trip.

Have a Magical Night!

I have "Some Day my Prince will come...." and "When you wish upon a star" as my ringtones, and everytime I sign an e-mail to a friend now, I put "Your friendly Cast Member"! I have been told I need an intervention  Why? It's so much fun this way :goodvibes I don't know if I can handle it though for 81 more days......I'm even planning my friends' trips for them!

OOH!! I want to have those ringtones!! Maybe when I get my iPhone. I'm so cheap I hate to pay to download them!
I too am addicted.
1) I'm at work right now. I do more DISing and trip planning than working some days! Shh.
2) I'm always looking for my next discount
3) my kids have been 4 times. They are 6 and 8.
4) I'm always telling people about DIS and loaning my guidebooks out.
5) We just came back in Feb and since there was a bounceback offer on our cruise, we're planning to go back in Nov/Dec. yippee! More planning!!
6) just yesterday someone called me a "Disney junkie" and I thanked her!
