yLet me preface this by saying that all of these accurately describe me. I have barely been back one month, having stayed for 10 glorious days at Poly, and I literally cannot wait to go back. I spend far too much time thinking, dreaming about being there, and how I can find a way to get back before the end of 2009. Some of the "top ten" are just silly and not serious, but see if you can find some that apply to you. And feel free to add your own. I'd love to hear some that I did not think of myself!

1) You have a dream that you went there (without your family??!!)
2) You try to find a way to talk your spouse into spending your Christmas bonus check or income tax check on a vacation, even though you know the money needs to go to bills or some other important thing.
3) You check religiously everyday here on Disboards/Disney.com for new discounts (I know about the 4/3 one already).
4) You repeatedly watch the Travel Channel's Disney shows, no matter how many times you have already seen them.
5) Your head spins around 360 degrees when you hear the magical music of the Disney commercial come on the television.
6) You find yourself scheming with your five year old to find a way to convince your spouse that once a year just isn't enough.
7) You keep looking at the roof that needs replacing, thinking, it can last another year, right?
8) Your spouse agrees to do the Disney Cruise, and you're wondering how you can parlay that into a land/sea vacation.
9) You look on the Disboards to see if there is anyone else posting their addictions, hoping there is someone else out there who is as obsessed as ou.
10) You spend every waking moment, thinking about, reminiscing, and wishing you were there, to the point that it takes up far too much time in your day. AND you start thinking about moving there, and trying to get a job at Disney.

Speaking of which, and this is for the Cast Members who may be reading about my sickness: Does it take away any of the magic when you work there? Would it be any less magical if I could go there everyday? Which is what I dream of? But would I love Disney less if I worked there?

Thanks to all for listening! If you are as obsessed as me, please add to the "Top Ten"!

My husband always talks retirement and this is his dream

I hope no one has posted this yet. I didn't have time to read all of the posts- have to get to the grocery store to shop for our Christmas Eve party. But I will read them tonight - I am cracking up!:rotfl:

You know you are addicted when you compare everything in "real life" to the World. Example " I love The Warren's Christmas lights (house professionally outlined in white lights) they are just like World Showcase in EPCOT! Or - I honestly said this - "the pick-up area at my son's high school is just like a Disney resort bus stop!" Or, at a new huge outlet mall - "This is the Disney World of shopping!"

I could go on, but I bet you all do it too! Gotta love the addiction::goodvibes

You know you're addicted when you have your ds2 watch youtube videos of all the rides so he will be excited to go on them once you get there!

You know your addcited when you are planning trips for friends because you can't go for another 6 months...

looking forward to my April trip !!

When you are off work for 2 weeks for Xmas and can't wait to go back to work becuase then you will be two weeks closser to your trip. :lovestruc

I'm truly sick and in need of medical attention.

#???: you get a phone call that your husband near drowned after his boat capsized and was rescued out of the frigid winter waters in New England lucky to be alove. On your way to the hospital to see him you utter the words "I hope this doesn't interfere with my upcoming trip to Disney". What a horrid woman I am!!!! :scared1: It wouldn't have been so bad if I just kept the thoughts in my head, but I said it OUT LOUD to my DD7.

I just hope they never find a cure.

18. You try talking your spouse into moving to Orlando so you can go to Disney every day and actually take vacations to other destinations. I keep getting told there are other places that I need to visit...I don't believe them.

She can't fool me.

There are other vacation destinations besides DisneyWorld?????:rotfl2: I don't believe it either........

MY wife and I were discussing our vacation delema the other day since it looks like Disney in out of the question and she said that she was sure that we could come up with something else that we could afford.
I guess that I am truly addicted because there isn't anyplace else that I want to go spend a week. Any place would be such a letdown and a waste of time and money.
Give me Disney or I will stay home!!!!!

Okay, so we have two free airline tickets that we need to use before June. Now we usually don't vacation until September/October (free dining), so we thought maybe a Disney Cruise?? Since kids cruise free.....but we really can't afford to do both in one year. So I asked dd5 which she would rather do, and to my surprise, she said she wanted to skip Disney World this year, and just do the Disney Cruise.....:scared1: Who is this child????? So I had to finally break down and tell her, (after having asked her about half a dozen times if she was sure she could skip Disney for a whole year), that I didn't think (I know I can't) go without Disney World for a whole year.....Thankfully, she came to her senses, and said she couldn't either, and we decided to do our usual in September/October.......:woohoo:

Oh! And here's an extra! Someone you know tells you they either are going to, or just came back from, the World....The first question out of your mouth is, "So, where are you staying......?" And they say, "Oh, we're not staying on property...." Your jaw drops, uncontrollably, and in your mind, it's like they just told you there is no Mickey Mouse......

I AGREE!!!!

4) You repeatedly watch the Travel Channel's Disney shows, no matter how many times you have already seen them.

10) You spend every waking moment, thinking about, reminiscing, and wishing you were there, to the point that it takes up far too much time in your day. AND you start thinking about moving there, and trying to get a job at Disney.

We never miss the Travel Channel's Disney Shows! I know I will be a retiree working at Disney World. In 2007 we took an Illuminations Cruise (highly recommended) and our boat's captain and his wife were retirees working at DW. She works in the retail shops. They were originally from Montana. He said the magic is still there for both of them. He especially likes it when he meets first time visitors. He can see the twinkle in their eyes.

When, as the captain's parents, you try to plan the varsity softball team's spring training at the Disney Sports Complex. Hey, you were going there anyway.

#??? Your only child is 24 but even though she grew up 8 hours away from disneyland she had been there 25 times before she turned 18.

#??? You go on your first trip to WDW and buy DVC, then on the way home do a 50 pt add on and before you even go back for another trip you buy 160 pts at another resort.

#??? You can't even make dining reservations for your trip yet, but you already have your dining itinerary planned for your next trip!

#??? Your friends at work ask you EVERYTHING about resorts, restaurants, characters, ride restictions despite the fact that you have been there once and they have been there multiple times.

#??? You have so many trading pins that you can'tfit them in your binders, So they are in boxes!!

Your three year old grandson asks you "Gramma can I invite Mickey to spend the night?"

#???Even though the branch of your bank isn't in the same town you live in, you don't change banks because it is less than 5 miles from a disney outlet store!

Hello, my name is SunnieRN and I am a disneyholic! :cool1: :cheer2:

One more, my grandson just got up and said "can we go see Mickey today?"

Wildviper,

I guess we will meet ya down there. My DH said on our first trip this past Aug. just after he got off of the boat rode from POR to DTD...

"YEP!! Honey this is what I will do when I retire!" :lmao: I was shocked. This from a man that was not that excited to go in the first place. I relpied.."OH really? Okay then I guess wer're moving to FL in 2040." :rotfl:

I am the same as all of you guys thouhg.

Hi! My name is Melissa and I am a Disneyholic.
I have dreamed of going to Disney since I was a young child (over 30 years now). Now That I have been there finally. I find myslef obsessed with when my next trip will be. Notice below how I have already planned a grad trip for me without the kiddos. Oh and I (with DH) am also planning another kidless trip for F&W 2010 with a few other couples. BUt now that I have this 40% off code I am trying to figure out how to plan (or should I say justify) a kiddo trip for Halloween this year too. :crazy2: Now I KNOW I am addicted.
