Top 10 Signs You Are Addicted to Disney aka You Know You Need Help When...

reason #? :goodvibes when your DD6 is writing out her "wish" list for our Disney vacation with pictures :3dglasses and not her letter to santa :santa:

well i am happy to see that other people are like me. i love everything about the planning process for a disney trip...everyone i know says i should quit my job and become a disney vacation planner...if disney comes up in conversation, i spend forever talking about how great it is.
i am going to disney next month and my bf told me he thought i was crazy cause i have planned out which parks we are visiting each day and i made adr before we even booked so that we could get into certain restaurants. but knowing all there is to do there, i almost have to plan out our days so that we don't waste time and so that we are able to travel to our dining reservations and so that we see some of each park...
again, feel much better knowing others are like me too!

#? You buy a Brinbaum Guide - Every year. Knowing only one or two changes have been made and you already know those changes anyway:confused3
#? You carry above-mentioned book everywhere you go:lmao:

** After a night of tossing and turning, you get up at 5 AM, even though the new Disney discount is rumored to be released at 5 PM!

:goodvibes  Its always a magical day for me at WDW no matter if I'm on the schedule, taking my friends around as 'their unofficial WDW tour guide' or just hanging out at the parks and wandering and enjoying the day!

:wizard:
Let me preface this by saying that all of these accurately describe me. I have barely been back one month, having stayed for 10 glorious days at Poly, and I literally cannot wait to go back. I spend far too much time thinking, dreaming about being there, and how I can find a way to get back before the end of 2009. Some of the "top ten" are just silly and not serious, but see if you can find some that apply to you. And feel free to add your own. I'd love to hear some that I did not think of myself!

1) You have a dream that you went there (without your family??!!)
2) You try to find a way to talk your spouse into spending your Christmas bonus check or income tax check on a vacation, even though you know the money needs to go to bills or some other important thing.
3) You check religiously everyday here on Disboards/Disney.com for new discounts (I know about the 4/3 one already).
4) You repeatedly watch the Travel Channel's Disney shows, no matter how many times you have already seen them.
5) Your head spins around 360 degrees when you hear the magical music of the Disney commercial come on the television.
6) You find yourself scheming with your five year old to find a way to convince your spouse that once a year just isn't enough.
7) You keep looking at the roof that needs replacing, thinking, it can last another year, right?
8) Your spouse agrees to do the Disney Cruise, and you're wondering how you can parlay that into a land/sea vacation.
9) You look on the Disboards to see if there is anyone else posting their addictions, hoping there is someone else out there who is as obsessed as you.
10) You spend every waking moment, thinking about, reminiscing, and wishing you were there, to the point that it takes up far too much time in your day. AND you start thinking about moving there, and trying to get a job at Disney.

Speaking of which, and this is for the Cast Members who may be reading about my sickness: Does it take away any of the magic when you work there? Would it be any less magical if I could go there everyday? Which is what I dream of? But would I love Disney less if I worked there?

Thanks to all for listening! If you are as obsessed as me, please add to the "Top Ten"!

I am 41 years old and I am so excited for our upcoming trips.....I dance around the house.....singing, "I'm going to Disney in 9 days!" My kids think I am crazy. I have planned what I am wearing according to what park I will be in.....

Bought dd a christmas shirt that has a green christmas wreath on it in the shape of a peace sign....I told her it would be a lot cuter if it was shaped like a mickey head!!

My oldest dd sees mickey heads every where.....she found one in the green pepper we were cutting!!

Yes, I am addicted and I love every minute of it. :cloud9:

This is me too! I was dancing yesterday & hurt my back!

Hi, my name is Alicia & I'm a Disneyholic-but I'm HAPPY that way! 25.5 more Days!!!

#? Every time I say "Patrick I want..." to my DBF he responds with "to go to Disney World, I know Kate"

But this is from the man who when he was about 5 asked his mom what he was going to do if his future girlfriend didn't like the mouse? :rotfl2:

#? Every time a co-worker/friend/family member asks what I think about Disney world for a vacation I can almost quote them trip depending on where they want to stay because I've checked the website so often, I can also tell them what months codes/deals tend to come out based upon when they want to go

I love being Disney Crazy

You know you're addicted when you start telling ds 6 and dd 4 that they have to go to Disney college when they grow up so they can get you a discount!!!:lmao: :rotfl2:

I think I may be addicted, my friends and family keep asking me if DVC has put me on the payroll, or if I just earn a commission.

I talk about DVC a lot, and think EVERYBODY should purchase DVC.

If your curious, its WONDERFUL!!

You All Have Described Me To A Tee!! Also Even Though I Promise After Every Trip That "this Will Be The Last One For A While" I Somehow Manage To Plan A Trip To Be In Disney Every Couple Of Months. I Managed To Go 5 Times Just In Late 2007 Until Now And I Just Planned A Trip For Jan. I Am Sooooo Addicted !!!!

You have a copy of the Samantha Brown's Favorites Disney special on your iPhone so you can literally watch it anytime, anywhere.

:rolleyes1

11. You talk about moving there...even though you LOVE the four seasons you get to experience in your hometown where all of your family and friends live.

LOL...this is so funny cause we always talk about it!!!! I would be afraid it would take away the 'magic' by living too close though.

You don't have a disney trip planned but you call with a question anyway just to hear someone say "Have A Magical Day!" at the end of the conversation.

My mom actually does this sometimes!

#??- When the office vacation schedule comes around, and your boss asks you "Which week do you need off for Disney?" instead of "Which week is your vacation?"

#??-You record Finding Nemo on the DVR when it airs on the Disney Channel, even though you have it on DVD and can watch it anytime.

#??-When DH knows not to buy gifts for any holiday/birthday...he just makes resort reservations instead!

BTW are you all watching me from somewhere? #1-?? are all ME TOO!!:scared1: At least we have each other for support!:rotfl2:

--When you cry just because one of those darn ads is being aired again.

--When you count Mickey antennas on passing cars.

--When you make your partner cook you pancakes with the mickey cut out so you can pretend you are at a Disney restaurant.

--When you realize Disney has been your last 4 vacations in a row.

I just told my family (not dh and kids) that we are going to Disney again...and they just can't understand how I could possibly want to go there AGAIN.....there is no other possible place I want to go on vacation!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

# when you are doing boring work and Disney resort theme music pops in your head... and from time to time DH and DS will start humming them out of the blue...

yes, I am addicted too... but I don't need help

#? When your toddler is watching "PlayHouse Disney" and you start getting teary eyed. It always brings me right back to "Play and Dine at Hollywood and Vine".

Hey addicts...

I heard a blip on Access Hollywood that they are doing something behind the scenes at Disney on tomorrow (Thursday) night's show. I'm recording it!
