Toontown being tossed out for Star Wars land???

When they closed TT at WDW, everyone said it's ok, just visit the original at DL. Now what would people say? :(

We don't spend a lot of time there, but it seems plenty of others do. I hope this was just a bad rumor.

I think that adding some more star wars in tomorrowland definitely wouldn't hurt (eg innoventions) but don't want to see TT go for it. it's like being able to walk around with roger rabbit! childhood right there!

I would love to see toontown eliminated and replaced with star wars. With Disney's budget it would be incredible.

I used to love Toon Town, but it needs something new and a fresh coat of paint to brighten it up a little

Totally agree. The land needs a complete refurbishment just to freshen everything up a bit. The land is literally fading...something a that a few coats of paint would help liven up.

I am personally not a huge fan of ToonTown and don't necessarily think it's an integral land to Disneyland, so I'd have no problem seeing it replaced. Magic Kingdom does fine without having a literal home for Mickey and Minnie. That said, I'm not a huge Star Wars fan either, so that doesn't really appeal to me either. I'd like to see something new and more unique.

Wouldn't bother me one bit to see Toon Town disappear and see Star Wars Land go up. Star Wars Land would be a huge attraction, way more so than Toon Town ever thought of being. Go ahead and tear it down and start with a fresh new bold idea.

First, the only way Star Wars Land happens in DHS is if it happens here. Orlando is not going to pony up the money for new rides unless Anaheim splits the cost.

Last I heard from the rumor mill, the plan for tomorrowland was to eliminate Innoventions, Autopia and Nemo, build some kind of an endor themed attraction, get rid of the people mover track and the astro blaster from the entrance (thank goodness given what a bottleneck that is) and put the millenium falcon (likely with a meet and greet) up on top of the building where the astro blasters used to be. All of which sounds great to me. Nemo and Autopia alone give them plenty of real estate to work with.

Heck, I would love to see them take out innoventions and put in the once rumored Stark/Avengers tower attraction there and then use autopia/Nemo for the star wars/endor attaction. Then they get in two popular properties in a revitalized tomorrowland.

The only bummer is the little kids aspect, because no way would they be able to ride the new attractions (my son ADORES Cars, but he's still 3.5 inches from going on Racers.) So, they also need to fix toon town. I love the phineus and ferb ride idea (heck just retheme gadget's to it) and they need to do something with chip and dales treehouse.

Just my 0.02.

The plans will change multiple times before implementation anyway.

Personally, I really like ToonTown, and think there are less popular existing areas within DL to build a new attraction. I was not too bummed that they removed ToonTown from WDW, since it was still in DL.

Since the Star Wars story takes place in the far past, not the future, I am not sure it fits into Tomorrow Land. But maybe Tomorrow Land should be re-named anyway. It is not as if Disney wants to keep up with the original idea of Tomorrow Land. That would take on-going innovation and a desire to invest in bleeding edge technology even if it is more of a risk (related to immediate profit margin) than some other stuff.
Maybe rename it Sci-Fi land or something similar.

I prefer if DisneyLand has stuff that is not in WDW and if WDW also has stuff not in DisneyLand.
But I live about halfway between the two.

If Disney does open a 3rd park, I would like to see a water park. I would like it to be in reasonable walking distance of the other parks. But I have no idea where it would go.

Eh...a water park would not entice me to visit...

Nah, a water park will never happen. Land is way too scarce and expensive for that, and even if they didn't built a full fledged theme park they could still make more money building more hotels than a water park.

I think they should take out Pizza Planet and retheme to Mons Eisley cafe.
Then the Autopia and Nemo could be used for Star Wars and Marvel could take over Innoventions.
Disney spent a whole bunch of money for Star Wars and Marvel. They should start using them in DL since it will be a long time before WDW could use Marvel.
The thing I don't care for in ToonTown is the odor of cat spray. I don't know if it the landscape that smells so bad or if there are feral cats living there that smell. If they could just clear that up and then some rebranding to newer characters like Fineas and Ferb.
