300 people. Windows can increase the virtual memory. I get a message a lot that says i used up all my virtual memory. They usually increase it. Try contacting them.

being the true devoted fan that i am may be i should make myself sicker and take off from school and see the wonderful christmas decor, also there a test monday i don't want to take! (use some disney magic and pretend it is a test, Not a computer,lol)

Just a caution. We know that Disney Cast Members as well as VMK Staff do not always have the correct information (nothing against them as I believe their information changes minute by minute). I know that Yavn has been mistaken a few times as well as in-game Staff (how many times were we told the Blue dress was coming out for sure and it didn't). VMK is a mix of programmers, merchandizing staff, in-game staff, and Disneyland/Disney World Cast Members. It stands to reason that much of what they are told changes or they were mistaken.

Not to take anything from the news but I was at Walt Disney World last week and had three different Cast Members in VMK Central tell me three different things regarding the future of the VIP tour, the "Holiday Quest", upcoming VMK event, Christmas Decorations, Frontierland opening, and general VMK stuff.

So, before everyone starts to get too excited or too despairing (as in no Christmas items for sale in VMK), lets wait and see.

yeah i would have to agree. i took the tour in disneyland last week, and there was no mention of any of it. in fact when ever someone asked about this stuff, the general response was "i don't know". and when i asked before about the holiday quest is was "no, they are not doing that." and to be honest, to start the holiday quest NOW would be kind of dumb. there really is not much time until christmas...

i don't want to take away from the excitement either, but i'm very doubtful of these things. espcailly the holiday quest. things were in full holiday swing at disneyland, so not not have the quests out yet for that seems, well, stupid. there woudl not be much time to do it. 2 weeks? three tops?

just a thought.

I agree with you purple goddess. I also took the Disneyland tour last week (Wed) and the only thing the tour guide mentioned was that the hidden mickeys were moving and that PUSH the trashcan MIGHT be the new NPC for tomorrowland. She wouldn't comment on Christmas decorations or why Halloween was still up or any of it. She said she didn't know and they didn't always keep the guides up to date.
I am also of the mind that it is just too late to start a Holiday Quest at the parks. They should have been started before Thanksgiving. I don't see that there will be much interest if they go into January, and last year the decorations only stayed up until about Jan 10th, if that, in the parks.
Of course I wouldn't put it past VMK to do a holiday quest after the holidays. It is starting to seem almost normal for them.

Well the cms that I was talking to. Said that this was just told to them this weekend so maybe nothing was known during your trip.

As far as the holiday quest. I have seen the paper and the prizes are nothing to be too excited about.

I took the VIP tour and there is a lot of things that are going to be happening really soon.
1 the chrismas decorations will be up monday.
2. frontierland will be opening monday.
3. Haunted Mansion game will be opening monday.
4. A splash mountain guest room is coming out. It is called Splash Bayou I think.
5. There is going to be a holiday quest in the real parks. I have seen the prizes. I can remember to but i can't remember the third. They are a christmas wreath and robot santa claus tin man (???) and i think it was a christams tree but i am not sure.
So that is all of the things that are happening and I thought I would share it with the dis.

But I'll believe it when I see it. There has been so many broken promises on VMK staff's part in regard to Christmas and the release of Christmas decorations for guest room. I don't have any faith any more. I'm so tired of "Yavn said..." or "VMK_Babs said......." Frankly it appears they don't know what they are talking about.

I'm severely disappointed in VMK in regards to Christmas. They did a great job on the Halloween decorations and it looks like they have just decided to rest on their laurels for the rest of the year.

Again, thanks adio for posting. But i agree with cat. With the "event" coming on friday, and the mention of mountains and all that jazz, it just doesnt seem to make sense that things would be thrown in there tomorow.

That being said, i would LOVE vmk to prove me wrong and have new things available.

I'd just hate to see you all disappointed if tomorrow turns out to be (yet another) plain old normal day in vmk with nothing new.

So, given that, i'm expecting new things friday. If they come tomorrow, then all the better. But i certainly am not heading into vmk tomorrow expecting to see anything new at all. I'd rather be surprised if there is, than disappointed if there isnt. And as i said before, if all this really does happen tomorrow, then what the heck do they have planned for friday? After all, they already annouced that something's coming friday.

Perhaps with the "Hidden Mickeys" changing, the Holiday Quest will be in VMK (something like the Thanksgiving Quest) in addition to the event on the 16th? I would think if they were going to do the Holiday Quest in the real parks, they would have started Thanksgiving weekend.

I too am concerned with our guests being disappointed if nothing comes out tomorrow and will be just as excited if proven wrong.

don't think we are bashing you at all though skate! i'm guessing you were in WDW when you went on the tour, they may have diffrent information for all we know than the disneyland guides too. i do apprishaite the update, you personally have no control over what was said you were just trying to share, so i dont' want it to feel like i bashed you in my post. and it is nice to get news.

it's also niice to know (or sad in a way) so many feel the same as me.

LOL! Do you mean that we met? I was the blonde all by myself. My nametag said Chris. You weren't with the families from AZ. Hmm, were you Dianna? Were you the blonde with the guy who fell asleep during the Pirates ride?
The girl in the red shirt with the long curly brown hair said her name was SillyParsley in the game, so I'm betting you were the the other blonde. How did we miss meeting? I talked with everyone else on the tour at length. Oh my!

I am impressed that you were able to take the tour at all. We were just there from the 8th-11th and were told absolutely NO MORE TOURS! That said, I think I got screwed with the tour thing. We went the first day we got there and got a CM who was dumber than a doornail! She first told us no tours period. Then I showed her my two PDF Hidden Mickey Quests printouts and she said that I could try to take it to City Hall but she doubted they would have any tours, I told her I did not want one for that day, but for another day, she still said the same thing.

Then we started to redeem our quests and she insisted that the pirate quests cards were ONE PER FAMILY! I told her that it was one per ticket(as my two girls watched with sad faces) but she insisted otherwise. Then she went on to say that they hardly had any pirate quests cards left and that it was strictly one per family. I was totally disgusted at this point. Finally she gave in and gave us two sets (I did not get one). I gave her three tent code coupons and she would only give me ONE tent code, finally gave in and gave us a second.

Then she literally took my hidden micky pdfs from my hands and redeemed them for gold collection cards instead. I wanted them back but she refused. So now I had no way to try taking them to City Hall to get a tour. It was awful.

As for the news, we did go back on the other days and I did in fact see two of the new cards: A Mickey Snowman and a Nutcracker! Very cute. They thought they might come out today but were not sure and they were also not sure as to how they would be redeemed.
