We have a lot going on the next couple of days - making a couple of runs to the airport to pick up an aunt and a cousin tomorrow, then we are driving to vero tomorrow night, then to miami seaquarium friday morning, then back up here Friday evening. There will be 29 of us with cousins and aunts and uncles at kidani by Sunday night.

So we took it easy today and took our 5-year-old son and 20-month old daughter to dak. We got there about 3, it was late enough that people had left and we parked in an open spot at the beginning of the first guest row. That was nice.

It was pretty hot, mid-90s and humid, so we thought we'd get fastpasses for kali river first since our son is riding it now. But the fast passes were gone for the day and it was an 80 minute wait at that time, so we went to see pooh and his friends instead.

It was a pretty crowded day, but the crowd was thinning. Walked right up to Pooh, Eyore and Tigger. Then we got a fast pass for the safari that was a 5 pm return time, so we went to camp minnie mickey. Saw lilo and stitch and the 4 pm parade went by, then went to the camp saw koda, kenai, donald, goofy, minnie, mickey and terk. By then it was about 4:45 (the lines were short or walk up to the characters) and we went to the safari. It was OK. We walked pangani trail, it was fairly quiet but the gorillas went to sleep. We walked over to Asia and Holden and I rode Kali. Got soaked. The last two times I rode it I didn't get very wet but I got soaked today. Comes around goes around.

Hot, humid, crowded, but fun. It was a very nice day at dak.

Looks like the kids are enjoying the characters. Be sure you take them to see Finding Nemo the musical! I think it's one of the best shows ever in all of Disney parks history. We really loved the Hunchback show that used to be at the Studios, but I think this one beats it. We always find that the Festival of the Lion King at camp Minnie Mickey is a good way to cool down in the heat too. ...Another of our favorite shows.

Sounds like a nice way to spend an afternoon. Dh and I love wandering around AK, taking it easy. Love the Lion King Show, but still need to see Finding Nemo.
