Sixteen years ago we stayed in the first DVC resort - while I seriously contemplated buying in. It was so different from other timeshares being offered at the time, but I couldn't make the leap.
This past week - over spring break vacation, I did it! We bought at BLT - which I knew I wanted since our trip last September.
I'm so excited. We already had booked a 4 night cruise and I had made reservations at BLT for September so we just got everything transferred over. Our cruise will now be paid for and we'll use our points for the room at BLT.
Now I'll have to cruise the topics here to get you all to help with the other stuff - like park tickets and dining. We did the DDP for the first time last week and I think it worked out OK.
Thanks to the Dis member who jumped in and gave us the referral so that we got the cruise.
