took DVC tour, bought resale-can we get same guide?

we took the DVC tour, but didn't want to buy that many points, so we are buying a smaller contract resale. However, we plan to add 50 points at AKV next year. Can we get the same guide as we had for the DVC tour? He was very nice and we would like to give him the credit for the add-on, since we took up his time on the tour. Is this possible? Elaine

I was told that that is what they do - if they buy resale they will assign you the same salesperson who did the tour. We really liked ours also.

We got a different guide assigned to us after our resale.

My understanding is the DVC guides don't work on an actual commission (there are probably some incentives for sale), so getting credit may not really be that big a deal.

We haven't really ever needed to talk to our guide. I did take the tour of the VAKL models and he followed up with a call. That's been the contact over the past six years. I know there are DISers who have much closer relationships with their guide.
