Took a pic of Luna Park Clown in Australia?

All of those photos are incredible! Can't wait to visit Australia someday- when I have LOTS of time to do it. But, what is it about those clowns that is SOOOOOOOO creepy? I didn't think I was afraid of clowns, but now I'm thinking, maybe I am!!:scared1:

Can you tell me where the clown was? I've been to Sydney 3 or 4 times and I swear I've not seen it, or I just wasn't paying attention...

How did you like the Great Ocean Road? I loved it..... We took all sorts of off roads from it, and saw some amazing koala's and animals of rarity, it was a true pleasure... seeing the apostles and reading about them was fascinating....

We go every other year now and it's wonderful....

You didn't happen to go to Doyle's in Sydney for dinner or lunch did you? It's a favorite, we hit it every time! My friend lives near there and she introduced us to it, fantastic place on Harbour

Wow, great pics thanks for posting them!! :thumbsup2 Creep alert for the clown lol.:lmao:

Beautiful pictures!!! I do agree with the others about the scary clown...defintiely could have done without that one..LOL

It is under the bridge across the bay from the Opera House/wharf area. Did not hear of Doyles but would have tried it-we had no input from anyone before we went but food was very good but kind of expensive. Canceled our Whit sunday trip because of constant rain and went to Melbourne which was pure sun for the 4 days we were there, yes the great ocean road was the highlight of the trip.

Yeh, the Apostles (are there 7 or 9 left? did you read the signs about them?), and the Great Ocean Road were fantastic, had I known you were going I could have given you some awesome tips....

Too bad about the Whitsunday's though :( 4 days of rain? That's a lot, although we've been there where it would rain for a few hours everyday...

Doyles is fantastic, it's over in the Watson's Bay section off the Harbour... such good food, very expensive, but very worth it.

I'm still trying to figure out where you were standing when you took the photo, that must absolutely be new in the last 23 months... we're up for our next trip :thumbsup2 We've moved however, and have to push it off until next Christmas or so....

Oh, where did you stay by the way???

This may help-its on the walkway past all the shops towards the opera house. We stayed at the Marriot downtown one block from the peir-this was a zoomed view. The rest of the time was Melbourne Crown Plaza and most of the time was at the Gold Coast Marroit shown below near DD College (Bond).

Beautiful pictures!! :goodvibes

Did you do the Bridge Climb? When we were there, I chickened out but did climb the pilings instead. LOL

We've stayed at the Marriott Gold Coast (Brisbane) before, traffic was confusing, I was glad we spread out and stayed other places as well.... You didn't by chance get to go visit the theme park Dreamworld did you? That has to be the best park made.... it's half zoo half serious theme park, we hit it every time we go...

The fact your daughter is going to school there make ME very jealous LOL.... Which college is she going to?

Never climbed the bridge-DD and friends are going back in March for that. Never heard of dreamworld either-rats. She goes to Bond Uni-looked likes a great school.

The park opened in 1935-same as Cony Island. Luna Pool at BWV history is simply "modeled after the roaring 20's amusement parks" I guess, must have just copied a similar clown but not sure if it was one in particular. I also saw a Luna Park sign at Melbourne-must have been all the rage back then.

Oh Double Drats, you were so close to Noosa! I love Noosa, so Australian, so sunny... Love Noosa!

Here's the link to Dreamworld, your daughter should really go! How long will she be studying at Uni there?

All my best to your daughter, she's a lucky girl!
