Too young to be on their own in parks?

Just for emergency purposes I say no. What if god forbid something horrible happened in the park and you had to get with your family quickly (just thinking Omaha mall recently) I say no. If you are in the same park and they are just riding another ride and together I think that is fine but in a complete other park no.

Just my 2 cents.

When I was 11, my DF would judge country music at Kings Dominion here in VA. I walked around with 2 boys that were the same age that were sons of another judge. We did this for a few more years while the contests happened. This was before cell phones, but we had to check in so often and always had lunch with our parents.

Since your kids will have cells, it shouldn't be a problem. Question, are you going to the same park with them each day but concerned about them exploring the same park as you alone?

Times aren't different, there have always been perves, now we have the media that shows it from every where.

well I went with my friend a few years back she is 2 years younger than me, I don't remember our ages at the time but we were both in elementary school but my mom allowed us to go around the hotel by ourselves but not the parks. being your kids age now my mom still won't let me walk around the park with another one of my friend's I went with this summer. but I think it's your choice. have a blast!
