I am a new memeber here at the DISboards and I am guessing that most people here are huge Disney fans. Am i right? :thumbsup2 I am almost 18 and I have been to WDW 6 times in the past 5 years. :woohoo: My question is will I ever get too old for it? Everyone always thinks of WDW as a place for little kids. My friends often goof around with me and tell me that my family should go somewhere else for a vacation every year. What do they know? I tell them that they don't understand because they have never been there. They just don't understand how it feels to be walking down mainstreet, ice cream in hand.

So how about yourself? Would you say that you are Peter Pan when it comes to WDW or do u think it is starting to get old? :confused3

As for myself I still have my pixie dust and will continue flying to WDW with my family every chance I get. :yay:

First of all you're NEVER too old for Disney! That was Walt's idea, to have a place for everyone so that the magic is always new, and Parents and Kids could have fun together!

Age is nothing. When people are 90 they still wanna have fun, right? The inner-child in people will never die, as long as you let it live. Too old? No, too young. ;)

youre never too old to be a kid again. youre never too old to believe in magic. eh, youre friends are just jealous that they dont have that special disney "something" about them. ;)

Becka's right...it's a quality that you have inside of you...this love of Disney...

You are never EVER too old for Disney...to love it, to cherish it, to enjoy the simple moments of getting shivers up your spine every time you see the castle, see that first shooting firework in Illuminations, have your heart drop when you realize you are about to fall 13 stories on Tower of Terror, or almost be mauled 8billion years ago by dinosaurs. No, my friend, those moments are timeless.

BTW, I'm going to be 18 in a little over a month too...so if you're going to believe anyone, believe me. ;)

PS - :welcome: to the DIS! It's a great place here! I've been a member for four years, so if you need anything, feel free to PM me!

Hi! :wave2: I don't think you'll ever be too old for Disney, and just like Becka said, it's something that you can never grow out of!

BTW: Welcome to the Dis! I'm Claire, and if you have any questions or just want to talk, feel free to PM (private message) me!

Heyy :wave2:

I think everyone's right : you're never too old for disney. period.

You can never be to old for something that never fails to bring a smile to your face :teeth: Disney is something that can be enjoyed by people of ALL ages (btw, I'm 18 and my friends and I all love WDW).

Disney is for all ages. Never let anyone ever tll you hat you are too ol to be a disney fan. Disney is the best :)

I'm almost 18 as well. lol. I have been 10 ten times...I LOVE Walt Disney World to pieces...WDW is not a place for little kids and don't ever let anyone tell you otherwise. :thumbsup2

I am never going to be too old for disney. But I have a good idea I am going to work for Disney when I get older so I have the magic everyday of my life.

You are definately not too old for disney! :) I'm 18, and absolutely LOVE it. Most of my friends doo too, so I'm not alone. Going to WDW brings out the kid in me, and thats what I love the most!

:welcome: to the Dis.

Now to your question, no one is ever too old for Disney, just take for example all the people getting married there and all the adults posting on this board. Nope, never to old for Disney and the people at my school don't understand either, they think I'm crazy.

I've always thought it was more about your state of mind than your age.

I have a friend who recently took her first trip to Disney World and was very underwhelmed. I spent a good deal of time trying to explain why it was the greatest place on earth before I gave up. (The palm tree is supposed to be metal! It's Tomarrowland!)

Same age as me, and I adore it. -shrug-

unless you want to be.

Now that should be in a book! That was touching...

Disney is a place where however old you are, when you are there you are a little kid again. All the problems in the world fade away and pure happiness replaces them. No one can ever be too old for disney!!!!!

You can NEVER be too old for Disney! Like others have said, that was Walt's purpose for creating Disneyland: a place where parents and children alike could have fun together. Take it from me, I'll be 18 in a few weeks. I've been countless times over the years (at least 20), 3 of these times being in 2006 alone lol. I wrote my college essay on Walt Disney, and chose to go to Disney World over the typical beach for senior week after graduation. And you know what? My friends thought it was crazy at first, but they got used to it, and have grown to love Disney as much as I do.
