TOO Much food! Our Jan.09 Deluxe Dining Adventure TONS of pics! Completed 3/4

Sorry I haven't updated in a few days. DH just got layed off so it's been a little crazy around here. I will have a new review tonight of Artist Pallette and Le Cellier.

I'm so sorry to hear that. We are very worried about DH's job as well . . . so much so that we thought about canceling our upcoming trip, but life goes on, right?!?! We figure there's no sense in stressing over it when half the country is going through the same thing! I wish your DH the best in finding a new job soon!

Oh dear. I'm so sorry. That is stress that I'm sure you don't need right now. This economy is crazy. Here's hoping that it leads to something even better!

Thank you. DH has been very positive about finding a new job, and we are hoping that we won't have to cancel our upcoming trips.

Aw toots that stinks....I have my fingers crossed for your DH that he finds something fast and much better! We are a bit stressed out too, with me on commission and DH in retail management you just never know what will happen.

We are going to be there September 3-13 at AKV Savannah View. I can't wait! We are really excited for that particular trip.

January 27th
Artist's Pallette-breakfast

We had no ADR scheduled for this morning so we just grabbed breakfast at our food court. Last time we were in Disney I was in love with the breakfast croissants, so I had to get one this trip. Egg and cheese on a croissant. I was so disappointed, they started putting flat eggs on them instead of scrambled, and I think they changed the cheese as well.

DH got the western omlet (cheese, onions & peppers) with potatoes. He didn't like the potatoes but said the omlet wasn't bad. Nothing special.

So overall Artist's Pallette is just your average food court, luckily this is the only time during our trip that we ate here.

Oh and btw, I love the lights they have hanging in here. They are so pretty.

Le Cellier
Lunch the same day
052.jpg

First off, let me say that I think that this restaurant is a little overhyped. Don't get me wrong, it was good but not as great as some people say. First our drinks...

I got a chocolate raspberry milkshake. Yum, chocolate and raspberry are my two favorite flavors so this was perfect.
053.jpg

And guess what DH got...a coke.

For my appetizer I got the onion soup. This was pretty good, nothing special, chock full of onions.
054.jpg

DH got the cheddar cheese soup per my suggestion. He loved it, and ate every drop. I tried a bite, and wasn't too crazy about it. (I do love the pretzel bread though.)
055.jpg

Since I don't eat many kinds of red meat, I didn't have very many options for my entree. So, I chose the caesar salad w/ chicken. Now I had to try the cream cheese mashed potatoes so I got a side of these as well. (Not included on our dining plan) OMG yum! These were the best part of the meal. I would go there just for these potatoes. The salad on the other hand was just average, the dressing was too spicy for me.

057.jpg

DH got the mushroom filet mignon w/ mashed potatoes instead of risotto, and the truffle on the side. He didn't care for the risotto but loved the filet and potatoes. He said the filet was very juicy and tender. (He dismantled his meal before I could get a picture)
058.jpg

For dessert, I got the Chocolate "Moose". I was sooo full by this point that I only ate about half. Not to worry though, I travel with the human garbage disposal. :lmao: So DH finished what I didn't eat. I thought dessert was good and not too heavy like most mouse.
059.jpg

DH got the maple creme brulee, and devored it. I tried a bite and wished I had ordered it. I love creme brulee, and the fact that it was maple made it 10 times better!

Service here was good, but I think that our server was a little too talkative. I was starving when we got here and it seemed to take forever for her to explain what we got with the dining plan, and explain the menu. (All of which I already knew, thanks to the disboards.)

Up next, one of our favorite meals of the trip. Teppan Edo!

ooh! I can't wait for your next review...I'm stuck in a debate: Teppan Edo v. Jiko! I know they don't really bear comparing to each other, but we only have so many days at the World.

Thanks for your great reviews!

Whats a Grey Goose Slushie and where can I get one? Is it alcoholic? I love all of your drinks!

Im also tempted to switch one of our reservations (or try to..) to Narcoossees << sp?? because it looks really good and Im DYING for some lobster!

I am SO sorry about your DH -- so scary! I hope he finds a job sooner rather than later and you get to keep your trips..

Also - WTG for him posing and taking pictures. You guys are CUTE and from what I can see the wedding pictures in your signature are just gorgeous!

Thanks for posting all the pics and reviews!

A grey goose slushie is an alcoholic drink that tastes like a lemon lime slushie. Yum, they have them at Epcot in France.

Thanks about DH. It's only supposed to be a short layoff, so we're hoping we will be all set.

Thanks for all your nice comments!

Thanks! We thought SSR was beautiful, but way too big for us. I felt like we did more walking here than at the parks. lol We can't wait to stay at our home resort AKV though. I notice you have the same home resort!
