TOO Much food! Our Jan.09 Deluxe Dining Adventure TONS of pics! Completed 3/4

So DH and I were going over the restaurants we want to do in October. We will be there for 9 nights on the DxDP again. Here's the list we put together.

Looks great! Looks like we'll just be missing you. I'm starting to compile my list too.:rotfl:

Great reviews- thanks for taking so many pics!:thumbsup2

your list for october looks great, except we were not fans of mama melrose. but the rest look good to me!

Read your whole review this morning! Great job! Thanks for all the hard work, eating all that food:rotfl2: I am almost convince to ge the dxdp at least once in the near future...

Tell your DH that I completely agree about the dish he had at Kona...I ordered it Oct 07 and did not realize the dish had changed to a sweet sauce instead of a savory one...it was just too sweet for me so DH salt and peppered it and he ate it while I ate the rest of his steak.

I think your Oct choices are great! We will be there for 11 days in Oct and I have not even thought about where we will be going. You guys will LOVE the F&W...make sure to leave a few lunch and dinner meals for snacking the food stands. DO NOT go to Epcot Fri-Sunday, it is just loaded with weekenders and the lines are ridiculous!
Thanks for the tips about October, we are so excited to try the F&WF. It seems so far away, I can't wait to start making my ADR's!

Thanks so much for the great reviews and tantalizing pictures! You've given me lots of "food for thought" for our next trip!
I hope your employment situation works out for the best!
Thank you! Glad my pictures could help. Theres plenty more on the way. :goodvibes

AH AAAAHHH! Do you hear the angels singing??

That macadamia nut mahi was taken off the menu(they changed it a touch as it used to be served with risotto? I think) but that was hands down my favorite - when they took it off the menu we stopped going.

Now that it is back! We'll go back!! Oh thanks for posting that picture. I do love me my macadamia mahi mahi- and I guess so do a lot of others if they brought it back.

Oh and on Tokyo Dining. It was very Japanese in feeling. Light Airy and fast paced. But we loved it. The food was perfectly prepared and there was a "manager" that really kept her waitresses in line! Great meal and great service. We wanted to try something other than the hibachi style last time*but we have loved that in the past.

Oh I'm so glad it's back on the menu, hopefully they don't ever take it off again. It is heavenly!

Tokyo dining looked so pretty, the food sounds good too from reading the menu. DH really loves the hibachi though, I'm not sure if I could get him to try Tokyo Dining.

Great review of Kona cafe! You've convinced me to change a reservation to Kona...yum-o!

Great reviews and pictures! Thanks for sharing!

Kona looks great! I can't wait to try it!

Thank you. Theres lots more to come!

yummy!! Can't wait to see what you think of all of these!! (Plus it will be closer to our trip:laughing: )

Oh yes, I will have a huge dining review when we come back from that trip!

It seems so far away, I just can't wait to start making my ADR's. Any idea when the 180 day window will open up again?
Hi, Excellent reviews, hope DH gets back to work soon :wave2:
Thank you. DH is an electrician so he's been picking up a ton of side work so his unemployment hasn't been too bad. Plus his boss said he should be back to work by April. So we're hoping all goes well until then!
Great reviews- thanks for taking so many pics!:thumbsup2
Thanks, theres many more to come!

I remember reading your review on Mama Melrose, we just couldn't think of another place to eat at DHS besides that and 50's Primetime. I wish they would add more good restaurants at DHS. Have you tried Brown Derby yet?

Haha oh it was hard work, lots and lots of eating. DxDP is awesome though, you should try it!

I will try to post my next review tonight of lunch at Raglan Road.

Pizzafari lunch
This is one of my favorite quick service restaurants on property. I got a Fanta, cheese pizza and a frozen lemonade. DH got a coke (big surprise), a pepperoni pizza, and a frozen strawberry lemonade. It was good as usual, however it just wasn't filling enough for DH. He's a big eater!

So, he then had to grab a jalepeno cheese filled pretzel. Not a snack credit but he really wanted to try one. He liked it, but not spicy enough for him.

Up next Narcoossee's :woohoo:

I used to always get the spicy cheese pretzel at the magic kingdom, but they no longer have them :( By chance so you remember where he got this jalapeno one? Awesome reviews!

Thanks! DH got it at the snack cart right before the bridge to Africa I believe.

Raglan Road-lunch

First of all let me say that the menus found on wdwinfo and allearsnet are incorrect for lunch. I came knowing what I wanted after reading the menus but it wasn't on the lunch menu. But I found something to order anyways. First off drinks. I got the Sangria.

I've never tried sangria before but it's a new favorite. This was so yummy!

DH got a coke.

For appetizers, there wasn't many choices for lunch. DH really wanted to try the Heaven on Earth baby back ribs. It's an appetizer for two and I didn't really want any so he had this to himself. He loved them, the meat was sweet and tender. He couldn't finish them though, there was too many.

For my entree I got the tall tale lobster sandwich. It's a triple decker Maine lobster with avocado, boiled egg, cilantro, lemon juice & crisp parma ham on toast. And, I got to pick a side to go with it. I chose the potatoes. This was soooo good! Normally I don't eat everything, as I get too full but I ate every last bite of this. The potatoes are almost like a warm potato salad. So good.

DH got the Bee LT. The description I found on wdwmagic says, honey & tarragon marinated char grilled chicken breast with bacon, roma tomatoes & romaine leafs. He thought it was yummy. The chicken was nice and sweet and juicy, he liked the potatoes the best.

For dessert I just had to get Ger's Bread & Butter Pudding after all the rave reviews I've heard here on the disboards. Well it lived up to the hype. It was awesome. Creamy and soft, warm ohh so good. Very filling though. DH had to finish it for me. No complaints from him about it though.

DH decided to try the Dunbrody Kiss. He wasn't impressed with it. He didn't like the cornflakes on the bottom very much. I thought that it was alright but nothing compared to the bread & butter pudding. I stole his raspberries though. ;)

DH and I can't wait to return here, what a great restaurant!

Oh Ragland Road looks so good I wish I hadn't canceled my ADR on this last trip!! Oh well I will get down there sometime. I want to try that bread pudding it looks so yummy!

Great report - thanks so much.
You look beautiful in all the pics - just like the princess!

Is Mickey always at Ohanna's? I would love to take our kids to see Mickey and Stitch.

Thanks everyone! I've been so busy lately I will try to be back tonight with an update.

Oddly enough thats what DW & I ordered (she had the bread pudding, I had the Kiss) on our first trip to RR. We love it there...never done lunch, but we've had dinner there a few times and loved it each. We usually try to get seated with enough time to start our dinner by the time the band is on so the server can hear us and we them (and us eachother). I'm really enjoying the thread, and hope you have a great trip in Oct. If you're doing DxDDP one resturant that DW and I go to whenever possible is LTT for lunch. The Tavern Fried Cheese is possibly our favorite app on property.

Is is so awesome to read your reviews... I am just starting to make a list for our Disneymoon in september :)
