Hi all! :goodvibes

I posted this on the cruise boards, but then realised someone from the UK may have travelled on the Med Cruise before . . so here goes!

I am looking at booking one of the 2010 Disney Mediterranean cruises. Did anyone do this last time (I'm sure I remember them going to the Med in 2007/08?).

- What did you think?
-Do you still get the Disney Magic so far from Florida?
-Is it the usual crew?
- Are there still theme nights?
- And are there proper excursions organised, or do you just get off the ship and do your own thing - I can't see any mention of excursions of Disneys website!

I emailed Disney cruise-line yesterday about re-booking for this while I'm on board in May 2009, and they seemed to indicate (hard to get a straight answer!!!!) that I could book now to secure a stateroom, and then once on board I could cancel, and re-book to get the 10% discount offered on board and transfer the deposit over - has anyone tried this before and how did it go? I really want to get a new ticker going :rotfl: but don't want to risk not getting the 10% saving on board!

I am SO very sorry for all the questions but I woke up at 4am and have been thinking about them ever since!!!!!!!!!!!! :)

Sonya we were on one of the Med 2007 cruises and we had a BALL !!! In fact we had such a good time many of the DISers we met on that cruise have all joined up again to do a 2010 Baltic cruise.

The ship itself is EXACTLY the same, in fact when you're on board you really wouldn't know that you were in the Med except for all those "little touches" like the special menus each night depending on what country you're in and the limited edition pin released for each country and the special kids diary that each of the kids registered in the kids club got and each night they got sheets relating to the county we were visiting the next day....the list goes on and on but I'm sure you get the picture.

We still had the normal theme nights and the semi and formal nights and the normal rotations through the resturants. It did get a bit confusing with the money as onboard we were in US Dollars and on land we were in EUROs. DCL did put on fantastic excursions everywhere we went but many of us did our own excursions which were much better as they were tailor made and much, much cheaper. The other advantage is there wasn't any long haul flights for us to do.

I would certainly recommend it and I would categorically state it was our best ever DCL cruise. If you can find the DIS thread of the cruise you are going on join in with them and make the most of it.

If you've got any other questions just PM me :thumbsup2 :thumbsup2 :thumbsup2

Thank you so much! You have got me really excited! I am going to research all weekend then PM you with a whole mountain of questions :rotfl2: !
