For our up coming trip we have ADR's for dinner @

Chef Mickey's
1900 Park Fare

for breakfast

O'hana
Princess Storybook

We also have Adr's @ Mamma Melrose, Coral Reef, Cap N' Jacks & Whispering Canyon

Are we doing to many character meals?
Should I drop one and add a regular sit down meal someplace?

TIA

Honestly, if your family likes the character meals and you enjoy the food, I say keep your ADRs the way they are. I always want to add another character meal each trip - I love them as much as my kids do! :thumbsup2

No such thing! When DD9 was little, for her first trip, we spent more time at character meals than in the parks. You will have a blast!

My three-yr-old and I stayed at WL for 7 nights this past December and we had 5 character dinners -- She LOVED them and I had a blast watching her expressions! 1900 Park Fare, Liberty Tree Tavern, & and Cinderella's Royal Table all had very good food. Chef Mickey's was horrible - character's weren't very available, and the food and service were barely passable. Our favorite by far was Mickey's Backyard Barbecue.

Hope you have a great trip!

We love character meals.

We have 5 scheduled during our 8 night trip next month.

My kids love them, so that's what we do.
In a few more years, they might not want to do them, so we'll do them now, as often as we can. We will have plenty of years down the road to eat at the "other" restaurants.

We would typically schedule one character meal per trip. Last trip, we did our favorite - Garden Grill - and the kids pushed me and DH to the outside seats so the characters would interact with us, not them. So for the next trip, I don't have any planned. It is bittersweet when the kids outgrow them, but I won't miss them terribly! LOL!

I don't think its too many at all.

I like booking character meals; one of each kind - a Mickey one, a princess one and a Pooh one.

There was another poster recently who asked this question and had 3 princess meals, 4 Mickey meals and more. I did tell her I thought it was a big repetitive but to each their own.

If you have children in your party, there is no such thing as too many character meals. I usually schedule one sit down meal per every day in the theme parks. We do at least 4 character meals per a 10 day stay. Have a safe trip and eat lots of good food! Lisa

No such thing as too many character meals. We are only going for five days this year and we have Crystal Palace, Chef Mickey's, 1900 Park Faire, Liberty Tree Tavern and Princess Storybook. We can eat out at a mid to high priced restaurant anytime. We can't eat with Disney characters everyday.
