Too many Character dinners?

Is there any reason, barring being sick and tired of characters, NOT to eat twice at Crystal Palace, once for lunch on one day, and then several days later for breakfast? I KNOW my kids will eat what's there. Buffets work very well for us. And we already are going to Chef Mickey's one night, so other than 1900 park fare, these are the only buffets connected to MK, right? and 1900 PF and Chef Mickey's don't have lunch, right?
I had ADR for Liberty Tree for lunch (dh didn't want the Thanksgiving dinner experience), but after re-reading the menu, I just don't think there will be much anyone would like, except burgers, and we will be getting enough of those with our CS credits.
So, if the main point is to use our TS credits (free dining) for food to fill us up, will we regret going to too many character buffets?
Who'd have thought free dining would stress so many people out? I am not even concerned about maximizing the experience any more, just making sure we are fed!

We are going to eat there for breakfast on our first morning at MK, then we are going to eat there for supper on our last night before leaving out. If you know your family will like the food, then have at it and have a blast! :wizard:

Buffets work well for us too since DD is a picky eater and DS is two and will be free at them ;) I like that they can usually get some vegetables like corn and green beans that they don't have sometimes at other places.

Go and enjoy!

We have PS for CP for both breakfast and dinner. We have a PS for 1900 Park Fare for breakfast and dinner. Our other character meals are: Liberty Tree Tavern, Chef MIckeys, Norway Princess Lunch and CRT. With three small kids it is so much easier for us to see the characters at the meals instead of chasing them all over the parks. ALso buffet or pre-plated meals work well for us too.

That's exactly what we're planning on doing. Great minds huh?? ;)

If you enjoy them, go for it! DS loves the characters, so we always do as many as our budget will allow. Have fun!

I wish we would have booked more chararcter meals. My DH kept asking me if we could go back to Chef Mickeys everyday for breakfast lol.

We're doing 1900 Park Fare b'fast and dinner, CP dinner, CM dinner, CRT b'fast or lunch, PSB lunch. May add more if I feel like it! I agree with DisneyMom7... it's a great way for the kids to see all their favorite characters without running all over the place, eat a good meal, and relax a little!

You can always make extras and then cancel them!

I am a firm believer that you can't get enough charactures at WDW. Too many buffets, yes, absolutely, but too many characture meals? No way.

We're doing CRT breakfast, 1900 dinner, Chef Mickey's and Ohana Breakfast.

No, you can never have too many characters.

When my son was younger, we did many character meals each trip. The beffets always worked well, he got sick of waiting for his food to be served after a few days of vacation.

I'm trying to talk him into a character meal for our September trip. Why aren't characters cool at 16?

My only mistake our first trip years ago was to book too many Breakfast character meals. I had my poor family getting up with the alarm clock almost every morning to stumble bleary-eyed into yet another character meal :confused3 Everyone's concensus was NEVER AGAIN.
Lunch and dinner are fine, it's just "don't make any more breakfast PSs". And I haven't since. :rotfl: :earsgirl: :earsboy: :earsboy: :earsgirl:

Someone on this board suggested doing the latest breakfast seating possible, so on our last trip we had a PS at Donald's for 10:45. I was perfect! I love brunch, so that worked out just fine. It was an early entry day, so we toured a while and then ate.
This time I could only get a 9:30 on a 9 am opening time at AK, so I guess we'll just eat first.

I hear your complaint...DS is 9 and thinks he is too cool to be eating or having any photos with the characters. Why is it that I am "a lot older than 9" and still enjoy it?! princess: pirate: :earsboy:

I would like to see more. Especially, a villian character meal, a hero meal - meals that are more male related - I love looking a strong, robust men while ordering eggs! ;)
